sweet deal that you like it! Diplomacy is horridly under developed too... just wait till the devs give it some love.. you'll like it even more. Crafting is like crafting in most games, repeatitive, but its def. different than what most people are used to seeing. Are you on the seradon server? Im Willamina ^^
yeah I see exactly what youre saying. Vanguard isnt eq1 hard, but it isnt wow easy either. Hopefully you get the chance to come play, Im on the seradon server as niomia.

No, for re release i think they will advertise and push the game as though it was never released prior to. The game right now is about where it shouldve been on release. Just needs to be polished.

a draw back i feel is this (and a double edged sword): the classes I've played and experienced (psion, cleric, bard) as well as most of the classes CAN be played to the minimal extent of the class by a moron and that moron will probably still be able to get groups and lvls. HOWEVER, these classes I know (as well as the ones i've not played) are hella complex... and good players can come in and master these classes to their fullest extent and be recognized in the community as being really good players. So its not going to be hard to see who the morons are.
Rumor has it SOE is re releasing the game here in the next 6months.
i havent PUGed yet on the new server Im playing on (pve) Because my lvl 42 cleric was on a team pvp server. From what I hear, the community is much more mature on the pve servers. I think youll probably encounter some ppl who cant play the class they picked just like you did in EQ, but I think it will grow to be a smaller number as you lvl up.
Death I cant honestly remember! LOL i think you go into exp debt on death which can build up with repeated deaths. But I've been back one day and have yet to die! lol.
I JUST came back today, however things are looking promising. I played from day 1 release and shot up to lvl 42 and had nothing to do cuz high end content wasn't in the game yet! It lead me to quit. Now I came back and started a new character, and the immediate that I noticed was performance was improved 10fold. I can run the game waaaaay better now than I could back on release, and I haven't upgraded my machine since then. They fixed memory leaks, and other major issues. Added in the flying mounts.
Vanguard has the makings and foundation to be the best mmo to date. player made housing and boats, flying mounts, the biggest world any mmo could boast, no instancing, the epic premier dungeons, and I could go on. Now all it needs is a little love and a loyal fanbase to get where it needs to go.
