ex. I'm stuck in a room with a box and a gnome. How do I get out?

  I don't wanna read...

I feel like a total loser. I started playing Lost Odyssey today. It's intriguing thus far, but...am I the only one who's gotten lazy at reading in video games? Ever since Final Fantasy X, I've been a total numb brain. All these new generation games feed you great voice acting (for the most part), and when words pop-up on the screen, unless it's like a shop menu, I get annoyed. It's weird because I've been reading RPG's for like, ever.

Maybe it's because I'm a full-time student and spend enough time reading, but Kaim's "memories" are really starting to bug me. I noticed myself avoiding townspeople because of the written dialogue! I think that's frakkin' sad. So, I'm going to make a vow: I'll behave better and read...and stuff. I'll be a good citizen and see what those damn people have to say, because they offer good insight sometimes...right? I've already gone back and read some his recalled 'memories' more carefully, so hopefully I'm not sinking too far in...

I loved the memories. I thought they were very well written and never felt forced or cheesy. Each story conveys emotion in a way that helps you understand the characters better.

I know how you feel, i honestly prefer the voices over reading, Xenogears was fun to read, as well as most rpg´s but new generations games required voice, its better with the voices
