Mood: pondering

It's been over 2 years now that all consoles have been released and i've personally played each one to give my opinion about it, first off the PS3 this console has great potential, good online, however it lacks titles the games that most people will buy this for are probably on other consoles and it's cheaper to go with a arcade 360 get 3 or 4 new games then to just go out and grab a ps3. MGS4 was and still is an amazing title if nothing else getting a ps3 just for the few games it has exclusivly are worth it. The WII most people see this console in a store and it's good eye candy seeing someone swing their arm and it actually does something on the screen it's good advertising, the wii has several good points the motion sensor bar is a wonderful invention and it's cheap. Some cons about the wii the fact is the games for it get repeative real quick, i can only swing my arm so many times before i get tired of it. The 360 probably your best choice now since the price drop it's a good amount cheaper the titles out for it are amazing and lastly xbox live is an amazing service. the cons to the xbox 360 are it tends to lock up more then the other two, some people on xbl make the experiance rather horrific (uno players....) and lastly paying for online can really kill people for games. so i recommend playing on a friend's console before making a decision on what you want to get, i will however say from my experiances that i enjoy playing on a 360 more than i do on a ps3 or a wii mostly because of the online play and halo.

Have you seen WiiMotionPlus? it's supposed to add true 1:1 motion tracking to the Wiimote

not yet man, i should take a look into that. thanks niall

I'll dismiss the Wii for one simple fact.

It doesn't work.

That's my only complaint I have, the motion sensoring is too tempermental and only really works when it feels like it, and when a game relies on this, then it just cripples the game.

i have to agree with you niall, the sensor bar only works if you are in just the right spot other wise it's very inaccurate. i'm on my second wii since the first one the cd rom drive died, alot of games that use it seem to be real difficult when the sensor isn't working right such as budokai two it took me forever to to use specials just because you have to have the right alignment.
however it is a pretty good idea i will admit, however the ps3's motion is alot better. maybe in the next few years nintendo will find a way to make it work and make a wii 2 that will be better.
