OK!

so lets start with wtf brought this to my attention cause it's safe to say if I wrote this the I first wanted to it would have been a vicious pointlessly hate filled "GUYS STFU & GET OFF THE GINES ALREADY!" rant that would have lead us down that repeated guy vs. girl road i think everyone of us is retarded to discuss (yea i do love writing about it but i should stfu too cause its retarded -.-).

first reason the topic caught my eye...

so this girl (who shall remain anonomys cause theres like 4 of u that could fill the role) wanders into the SB all pissed cause some guys is saying she isn't a gamer cause of her lack of games or her noobness or whatever, forget the major complaint but all of that came up in the discussion.  neway, so shes pissed that shes getting called noob or whatever and is basing it off the fact that shes a girl.

in this modern age of gaming you vagina does not make u noob but instead makes you epic...

girls remember when you were younger and some boys would kick sand at you or throw paper at u in class?  remember how we figgured out that boys were doing this cause they liked you?  umm...HELLO! 2 + 2 is 4 and when a guys fucks with you its probably cause hes atleast a little bit fucked in the head.  maybe hes immature, maybe hes just nervous, maybe its some freak animal attraction he himself doesnt even get, all we know for sure is guys are stupid when it comes to girls, kinda like how girls hate all the stupid things we do that makes us guys*

side note for my own plesure: like this weekend when my roomie drove himself to the chiropractor instead of letting me take him, then an hour later has to be picked up there and taken to the hospital...the gf is yelling at him for being stupid driving himself but i was just like holy shit don't u realize this is what guys do?  like seriously were fucking morons ladys -.- u have heard are pick-up lines (unless they worked =P) so why would u think the thought would cross our minds that our foolish pride might get us killed sooner then we think?  plus would you really want some girly man that goes to the hospital over a splinter?  i for one wont even see a doctor unless i am down for the count for 3 days or more...so what if there is a screwdriver in my hand...maybe i put it there cause thats where i wanted it =P poopie knockers -.-*

i mother plucking despised the first xbox...

i am one of those origonal hardcore nerds that has been playing these games since birth...

i remember before Sony had a website and the times before search engine when u had to use gophers, hell i remember playing marathon (yea the origonal mother trucker whats it to ya =P) the first ever online game which to some including me put it above doom and wolfenstien, heck i even slept in line for my PS2 with the rest of the uber nerds...and uber nerds is right cause back when the PS2 was launching it was a very different time for gaming...

at the launch of the PS2 video games were only cool nerds and wide use of the term gamers was yet to come into effect.  it was really the end of the hard core nerds having the gaming market cornered by their whims when the xbox was launched...and i have an idea of why...

back at the launch of the origonal xbox there were A WHOLE FUCKING LOT of pissed of nerds that micrsoft was moving in on the console market.  i have for reasons i wished death and damnation on the xbox before ever playing on one but for now lets just cover the major 2...

#1 - Sony and Nintendo have kept an amazing trend of fun machine vs. challenge in the video game world and this xbox was now coming along with a barrage of comercials and games sporting the so called "thug-life" and supporting all that gangster rap and shit talking about rolling on dubz in a freaking video game, dude call it selling out or whatever but video games were begining to walk down a far more main stream pop culture ideal, where before they were designed to give us new stories and adventures now they were being designed for joe blow to go take out is violent urge to smoke some crack and shove a shotgun up another guys ass...in my personal opinion such a thing is rediculous...

#2 - Microsoft you bunch of fucking ass holes...all u had to do was make a 360 controler for the PC and specifically devlope games to utilize it and you could have not only made us less nervous PC games might die someday soon (other then online mmo's and such) but u would have stoped this fucking retarded sony tv computer bull shit they are doing now (which is a rant for later, seriously the topic bothers me more then ud imagine) and allowed the wolrd to realize that all these tv's and computers, and home security and sprinklers and fucking anything else electronic can be controled and managed via their computer, the consumer is too lazy to put all the pieces together so why doesn't some1 get their ass in gear *coughsonycough* and build a fucking tv/computer/ps3/smoke detector/porn-o-matic wonder toy so that the average consumer can see how advanced all these "SILLY TOYS" really are...

so yea...

my point...

around the time of the xbox's 6 month aniversary is when i saw the gamer term starting to get thrown around alot, hell it was even said that it was the newest counter culture for a while.  we were suddenly a united front because none of the nerds would buy the xbox unless they didn't feel offended by microsoft (i sure did) and all these kids that grew up playing sega nad super nintendo now had something with more modern violent video games that was new and made to be played by anyone with genres for anyone...i mean before this the thing i remember doing most often with non nerd friends videogame wise was golden eye, and we all know that title is refernced to this very day as one of the best multiplayer games (i like to say most enjoyed)

So wtf is a gamer really?

a gamer is a lot of things if you ask me...

from the nerd to the jock, from the girl scout to the inmate, all of us have our place in the gaming culture now and none of us are leaving anytime soon...

I also have been told im not a real gamer, that a "REAL" gamer is some1 far more hardcore and a die hard player that tops highscores and shit...

allow me to assure you this is not the case...

we are all gamers and not only do we all belong here, but did u ever think of the fun you would miss if some of these groups werent arround?  i mean all gamers make fun of eachother thats just how we role, most my best friends on games are people i can shit talk back and forth with.  i mean i think i fit the perfect example of how even a hardcore gamer can be a hardcore noob...

here is me in a gamer nut shell:

I have every next-gen console...i have a wide range of games for all of them...i have a boss PC & an Alienware laptop...and yet if u play me in a game u will notice though i can pull off some cool shit u can see takes skill you will also notice that i make all the noobest of noob mistakes and hit the wrong buttons all the time on all games.  this comes from all the cross consoling, i never have the same contrler in my hand or even the same style of game, when u go from WoW to Half-Life 2 to NHL 2k8 to Mario Galaxy and then u try to play a round of CoD4 I can promise you your gona suck unless your in the zone to some magic sort of extreme...i mean if u can keep that straight i swear you are more talented then i (really not hard to be better then me).

so yea like i thought it sorta just turned into a rant and i think i am done here...

hell if i typed more i'd lose 1/2 my audiance neway =P
