People keep bitching about SONY and coltan and what ever else because some of it comes from the congo where people die over it. SO HERE IS MY RANT!

The world gets most of it's coltan out of Australia. The coltan from the Congo is so much less than what is gotten from the rest of the world! Coltan is used in so many things from hearing aids and pacemakers, to airbags, GPS, ignition systems and anti-lock braking systems and much much more. So to point any fingers squarely at SONY is unfair. Just about any small electronics you use will probably have coltan in it.

Why is it my responsibility to make sure the product I'm using wasn't fought over? If it's not coltan it's diamonds if it's not diamonds it's oil and if it's not oil it's gold. It's human nature to want, need, and fight, if it's not one thing it's another. We can't live in a rainbow filled with sugar candy and harp playing angels... it's stupid to even think that.

You can't change the world because it's filled with greedy humans with greedy hands and hunger for money and that's something that won't change! It's nice to have hope for your fellow man but it's ignorant to think that you can change human nature. Money = power = loss at someone else's expense - and it sucks. So stop worrying about other people and start worrying about yourself before you get fucked over to by the greedy, self absorbed, self righteous bastard humans you live among.

If it wasn't for human greed we wouldn't be alive today. We'd be nothing more than fossils curled up in fetal positions turning into oil. If we weren't so greedy we'd be dead and gone because you can't eat what you don't have and you can't get what you need unless you take it from something else. We want things so we can be happy because if we're not happy we're depressed and when you're depressed you can't carry on being productive. So give me my PS2, my diamond ring, and my SUV because I'm human and it feels good to have awesome stuff.
