As I've said I'm a huge Star Wars fan and with the release of the Force Unleashed approaching I can't help but wonder what LucasArts will throw at us next. No doubt they'll milk Indiana Jones some but I don't think it'll be long before they return to the cash cow that is Star Wars. As most of us know Vader (on the PS3) and Yoda (on the 360) will be making appearances in Soulcalibur IV when the game is released in July, it'll be a little something to hold us over until TFU comes out in September (pending no more delays). But I ask what comes after that? Sure there's the rumor that BioWare and LucasArts are working together to produce either a new MMORPG or the next KOTOR but we probably won't get any information on that until late this year or early 09. Even then it'll still be another full year before that game is even released. So here's what I'd like to see in the mean time.

My favorite Star Wars character is a guy named Kyle Katarn, some of you may know him as the main character from Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, and Jedi Knight 2. He also starred as a secondary character in Mysteries of the Sith and Jedi Academy. Anyway as you've probably guessed I want another Jedi Knight game, execpt I want to play as Katarn again. I'd love a game set further into the EU where you can fight Yuuzhan Vong or hell just anyone else besides the Empire or Imperial Remnant. I have a feeling though that either no more Jedi Knight games will be made or we'll be playing as Jaden from now on.

Another game I think that has potential would be another Empire At War game, I loved the first one but didn't get the expansion pack. I'd like to see another game that spans all of the movies, there are enough space and ground battles in the movies and in the EU for them to do it. Hell, they could just release them as expansion packs for Empire At War, I'd buy them.

This is probably more likely to happen then the other two but another Battlefront Game. Sure it's basically just Battlefield with Star Wars characters but it's still fun. I just hope if they make another one then the flying is a hell of a lot better. Doesn't really matter where in the timeline it takes place. As long as they fix the space battles and the flying I'll be happy.

Now this game could happen, and I'd love it if it did, but it probably won't. Basically it'd be a revival of the TIE Fighter game except it'd be set in between Episode 3 and 4 (because right now Lucas is milking that era to death). Hopefully it'd play like Rogue Squadron but the commands for your fellow pilots would work better and there wouldn't be any ground based missions, just flying. I'd like it if the story portrayed the Empire as the good guys (yes we all know they were evil, yada, yada, yada) and the main character didn't go over to the Rebel's side at the end. They could make for a really dark and gritty game if they did it right.

I'm sure none of these will happen but if they do cool. Sense no news has come out about the next game after TFU we just have to wait and see what they give us. Hopefully whatever it is it'll be good. I have a feeling TFU will be good but not everything it's cracked up to be. There are good games and then there are good Star Wars games in my eyes, so far the only game that has ever broken out of the "good Star Wars game" category for me was Republic Commando, but it was just to damn short. Oh well, here's to hoping TFU does live up to the hype and LucasArts releases some info soon about some new games.

PS: There was talk of a Republic Commando 2 called Imperial Commando but so far nothing else has come out of it except for the title. I'm sure it'd be set in between Episodes 3 and 4 which is fine by me, I just hope they don't over kill it. Hopefully if they do make Imperial Commando it'll be just as awesome as the first except more so. I sure hope Sev is alive.
