Are Games Based off Movies Are Bad?

the problem with games based on movies/movies based on games, is the fact that all these studios want to do is cash in on a fad. which is all it is.... money.



what these studios have yet to learn, is that no matter if a movie is based on a game, or a game based on a move etc.... if it isnt good then word is going to spread and people arent going to buy it, thus decreasing the revenues.



add to the fact that NO such things has been successful, leaving a bad taste in everyones mouth, its pretty much a guarantee that its going to be a flop.



its has become a trend in the entertainment industry that anything adapted from movies or games will be a flop.



the goal to make any of these successful is to not rely on the original script and exactly copy it word for word/move for move... but to be original, yet stay true to the universe of the game or movie.

All games based on movies SUCK. And all movies based on games also SUCK. This has always been the case.

rofl... wow... original?? right.... no game nowadays is original anyways, same concepts just twisted into new ideas, movie games could be good... it's just the plain and simple fact that none of the original movie games were good so good gaming companies dont want to make them for fear of negative sales.

yes, an original game like world of warcraft... thats based off of the last 20 years of fantasy games, which were based on Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons, which was inspired by Tolkiien's Lord of the Rings. lol.



Im really just playing the devil's advocate here, but at least when playing a harry potter game (which is 99% sure to suck, i agree) Im only playing what ive seen in a movie and read in a book... whereas in WOW im playing the same old tired ideas that have been used and reused since the dawn of videogames and MMORPGS... and even farther back before that.
