Industry Articles:

• The Divnich Tapes: The Video Game Industry vs. The Economy - Jesse Divnich, an analyst for simExchange, has written up an article talking about the gaming industry's abnormally successful performance in the context of our declining economy.
  
• GDC 2008: Crayon Drawings - Petri Purho, creator of IGF 2008 Grand Finalist Crayon Physics Deluxe, has posted a gallery of crayon drawings done by independent developers during GDC this year. Purho asked each developer to draw their game with crayons. The results are amusing and interesting.
  

Developer Events

• ECD System’s Independent Game Developers Contest - The third annual EDC System's IGDC is looking for the best-developed games that indie developers have to offer.  Offering a multitude of awards based on categories, this is not an event to miss for any indie devloper!
  
• 7DRL Contest 2008 - 23 participants entered, but only nine managed to finish their roguelike entries in this year's Seven Day Roguelike Challenge. The games are available to play for free via the wiki.
