VideoGame.. Music videos

I've been watching alot more tv recently, and I'm noticing that they LOVE turning video game commericals into "music videos".

I think this mainly started off when Gears first was shown on tv with the Madworld song, (The song and that game go so well together. There was a remix on myspace until it got deleted called "Gears of Tipsy" If you ever find it. It's awesome.)
Then we have Assassin's Creed (The sole reason I learned how to spell assassin.), with that pretty song that nobody could ever figure what it was.

Lost Odyssey. With the pretty Bjork song.

And then most recent we have...
Army of Two with "Oneeeeee is the lonelyest number..". Which fits the trailer and the game perfect.

Mad props to the marketers. I see how this could be a possible way to make casual gamers more interested in games. I mean if you see something epic on tv, you typically remember it.

Forum Trolls and Problematic Wiis.

Yesterday, on Gamepro's forums I posted a question about double standard for systems.

How come Nintendo can lie about the select systesm messing up (They first said it was lens issue -- later to find out the DVDdrive wasn't working), and everyone praises them, saying it's no big deal and at least they're fixing it for free.

I was basicly trying to prove a point. I love nintendo. But Why is there a double standard when Microsoft extended their warrenty by 3 years for consumers, because of faulty systems and are fixing it for free -- and it's a HUGE deal?

I mean every company has had their messups. Sony in their second gen, the larger ps2's -- if they read too many blue back disks they die a really painful death.

So Sony in their 2nd gen, Microsoft in their 2nd gen, and nintendo? in their 5th gen.

**I LOVE ALL THE SYSTEMS, I'M JUST TRYING TO PROVE A POINT**

G4TV Contest meet Destructiod!

I know we're all aware of how cruel Dtoid can be at times.

Eariler today, they for some reason, announced me the winner of that g4tv contest (if they actually knew anything about it, they would have realized nobody won yet.)

I'm really sick of the cruel comments.

Stupidity over console wars

While spending my sunday night in the shoutbox, Andy mentioned something about them coming out with a white PS3. Somehow from that subject we started to talk about what consoles sell better(It always works out that way..) I could deal with it at first. It was a simple conversation, me trying to explain the fact that the ps3 is going to sell more in the long run because of the bluray player, even if it's not as a gaming console, but as a bluray player.

The conversation started to get kinda heated when I was trying to prove my point. It's the truth, Sony announced they are trying to create more than just a gaming console, but a console that will be used for everything in a home entertainment center.

To the point of saying I was "No longer sexy, because I liked the Ps3". How did us talking about consoles go to a personal attack against me, when I care about the same system they like?

VideoGame Crack

Video Game Crack? Yeah, you read it right! I'm pretty sure you know exactly what I'm talking about to. Games like Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, Viva Pinata, Nintendogs, The Sims2. Pure, freakin' crack!

I can't tell you how many hours of my pathetic life have been wasted playing all these games. Why? Because I need to upgrade my house. Because I need to unlock new pinata's. Nintendogs?! I own 3 real dogs! Why do I need to have fake ones aswell?

The real reason I posted this, was because when I got my new Cobalt DS, I decided to revisit Animal Crossing. I never had an issue with it before, at least not the DS version. (Gamecube version is a completely DIFFERENT STORY!) I'm playing at work, while watching tv, about to fall asleep, practicly every waking moment now.

And the thing I don't understand? I hate fishing! It's the most time wasting task of my life. Yet, I still sit

My new love

For most of you that have seen my "I'm not a, um, handheld, um, type person", know that I really just can't enjoy gaming on handhelds.
I own the original Electric Blue DS and the Slim StarWars PSP.

I ended up buying one of those new Cobalt DS Lite from someone today (It was BRAND NEW)

For....

You'll never guess.

100 dollars. xD

Welcome to the family. Now I get to play Animal Crossing without carrying around a brick(aka the old ones) :)
