For the past few years I've surrounded myself with many people who are on all parts of the gaming pendulum. It seems that more and more individuals are adding the phrase "Professional Gamer" to their names and, while I used to be very supportive of this career path, I'm starting to realize that this particular title has become way over abused in whole by the general gaming community. Everyone and their mothers are professional gamers now. I'm getting pretty sick of it too. Every time I go into a room of Gears or Halo, someone is bragging about that fact that they do this "Professionally". In my eyes, winning $100 at a Guitar Hero contest at your local game store does not give you the right to say that you are a "Professional" at anything related to gaming. So what? I've won and placed in plenty of tournaments. You have to have a love for crime fighting comic book ladies in order to really get the humor. I highly enjoy the "Bat-Lad" and "Bat-Butler" joke, however. Quite witty. I will be spending my holiday weekend in the lovely city of New Orleans. I wish there was some magical way that I could possibly fly back and forth from here to Baltimore every day...I personally miss D.C. more than good ol' B-more...but beggers can't be choosers, right? People down here don't appreciate the sport of Soccer. Louisiana doesn't have an MLS team, but they sure do love their LSU...and playing Beer Pong in the middle of our apartment complex parking lot while blasting their car stereos to the max. Unfortunately, I get frustrated watching him get frustrated with that game...and even though he made me a delicious PBJ, I have to take a pass on that to go and sell more useless things to Nook The Crook so I can merely go right back to him and give him more money to pay off my useless 4 bedroom house. Why do I need 4 rooms anyway? This damn game just has a way of sucking people in. It's definitely one of the games I'm more-or-less happy I purchased because the replay factor for it is high. You could leave for months on end, as I did, and return and still seem to be able to enjoy the game wholeheartedly.
