Not much different than the first one in the series, aside from that, this game is great. THE perfect party game, also, if you have xbox live, you can import all the Rock Band 1 songs into this game, a cool feature for a small price.

Rock band 2 was the first game in a long time that i traded in for another within a week of playing. I already had the first one so getting this one felt like wasting 60 bux. the songs on it arent that great. I find myself going " god this song again " then anything. They have a feature called battle of the bands that i thought was going to be WAAAY dif. I thought it was going to be you and friends start a band, and then battle other bands over LIVE. But no, its just a score board thing,......lame. If you have the first one, save yourself the dinero and just dl new music onto your first rockband.

Best party game of 2008. Play with friends online, or people close to you. World Tour mode is revamped to play online. 84 new songs, plus 20 free DLC songs keeps the games fresh. And RB1 songs can be played in RB2. The best game I've played this year.

In the beginning back in 1995...man didn't know bout a rocknroll game and all that jive. This is a music game so the soundtrack is most important. The easier songs are a little too slow so the beginning of the band world tour can be boring. but once you get your first challenging setlist it gets interesting with songs by system of a down tenacious and judas priest. the graphics are better but they have nothing to show for it except a couple of new faces and arenas. the rock shop looks the same they just added a thrift section with is interesting if your using a female rockstar =:3 With more than 300 song to download and a song importer (songs from rb1 to 2) Replay value can go on...and on...and on... The vocals gotten better too I now can get the achievement without struggle of feedback. :)

Thsi game is amazing. There are some who think that GHWT is better... I respectfully disagree! no... STRONGLY!! I hated GHWT! RB2 has a better song selection as well as better graphics, backwards compatibility with RB1.
