Team Fortress 2 is the latest addition to the Team Fortress Series by Valve. Originally slated for release a few years after Team Fortress Classic and taking on a similar Realistic Military Class-Based game, it took over 10 years to create and turned into a Humorous Cel-Shaded Cartoony Class-Based FPS. It was definitely worth the wait however... The game revolves around two teams. Red and Blu (Yes there is NO 'E') They have the same classes and same looking characters but are fighting each other. Let's start off with the classes (From Left to Right) Pyro: The only confirmed Female class in all of Team Fortress 2 (Noticeable by the Purse in the Locker Room Spawn in ctf_2fort and by Valve referring to the Pyro as 'she'). She carries 3 weapons usually. A Flamethrower, a shotgun, and an axe. The regular flamethrower shoots flame in front of the user, or it can fire a blast of compressed air that can deflect projectiles and send people flying. The alternate unlockable Flamethrower called the Backburner is weaker but does extra damage when hitting from behind. Both flamethrowers ignite the person hit with it. The secondary weapon is a Shotgun. It's a multiple shot shotgun which does moderate damage from medium-close range. It can be traded for a Flaregun which holds one shot but can ignite players from long distances if you arc the trajectory right. The Pyro's Melee weapon is a typical fireaxe. It does fair damage with a decent rate of attacking. A different axe that can be unlocked is the 'Axetinguisher' which does less damage but when someone is on fire, it always crits. It's noticeable by it only being silver and having no red. It's also covered in Barb Wire. The Engineer: He is your builder of the team. Primary Weapon: Shotgun. It does moderate damage from medium-close range. Secondary: A Handgun that does light damage from close-far range. Melee: A wrench. It has the highest critical rate (Something like 5%) out of all the weapons in the game. It does quite a bit of damage and is also used to repair/upgrade/build the Engineer's buildings. Blueprints: The engineer is the only class with a fourth "weapon". He has blueprints for any building and it comes up with a blueprint style layout of the building in front of you to show you where you can and can't place it. You can build 3 buildings Sentry: This is a automatic homing Chain-Gun. At the first level, it has one distinguishable barrel. After upgrading the sentry with 200 metal (You need to hit it with your wrench when you have metal and you can only carry 200) it upgrades to Level 2. At level 2 it has 2 belt-fed chainguns that do a lot more damage than level 1. The next upgrade to Level 3 adds two rocket-launchers on top of the Sentry Gun. This is the highest level and does a lot of damage, and is also hard to kill. Dispenser: A Rectangular building that dispenses ammo and health. It can be upgraded like the sentry 3 times to increase it's dispensing rate. Once it runs out, it takes a certain ammount of time before it spawns more metal to give out. It has unlimited health to give out however. The spy: A cloaked assassin. His primary objective is to Cloak (Become invisible), sneak behind enemy lines, and take out key targets.Spies can also disguise as members of the enemy team and your team will see you as a Spy wearing a paper mask. A good spy can easily take out an entire team before being noticed, and get away un-harmed. It is easily one of the most difficult classes to play though because if you get shot or lit on fire while cloaked, you are revealed. Teams also constantly spy-check by shooting their teammates (Friendly fire is disabled on nearly all servers) to see if they are a spy. Weapons: Primary: A six-shot revolver. It does quite a large ammount of damage. Cannot be used while cloaked and if you are disguised it makes you visible. Secondary: Your "Sapper". It is a small rectangular box that attaches to Engineer buildings. After a small ammount of time (like 5 seconds) it destroys the building. An engineer can disable it by hitting it with his wrench 2 or 3 times. It can be used while disguised and won't remove your disguise. Melee: A butterfly knife. This is your main weapon actually though. From behind, it counts as a "Backstab" and is an instant kill. This is what you use to take out key targets. If you get behind a large group of people, you can usually run around backstabbing them all. Will remove your disguise however and cannot be used while cloaked, as no weapons can be used while cloaked. Disguise Tool: Allows you to be disguised as any class of your team or the enemy team. Disguise is instantly removed if you use any weapons. Recently, the game was Patched so you can also choose what weapon your disguised character has. Heavy: A large russian brute. He has an ammo-belt around his chest, a large vest, and a mini-gun. His main goal is to get healed by a Medic while mowing down any enemies in his way. He is large, bulky, and very slow while firing his Minigun so he is a large target for snipers. However, with a Medic he has 450 health compared to the Scout's 125 or the Pyro's 150 and he has 300 hp without a Medic. He is the main tank of the group. Main Weapon: A belt-fed Minigun. It holds up to 200 rounds and can be continuously fired. It does heavy damage from light-medium range and does moderate-light damage at far range. Can be traded for an unlockable minigun called "Natascha" which does less damage but slows targets by 50% Secondary: A shotgun. Does moderate damage at close-medium range. Can be traded for the 'Sandvich' which restores 125 health in a short ammount of time. His happy sounds of eating a meal during battle 'OM NOM NOM NOM' quickly attract enemies however, and you can't stop eating during the time it takes to eat the Sandvich. Melee Weapon: His fists. They do heavy damage but are quite slow. Can be traded for boxing gloves which when you kill an enemy with, guarantees you critical hits for 5 seconds. The Sniper. An Australian Assassin or Hitman. He takes out keys targets in the heat of battle with his skillful art of Headshots. A Headshot with his rifle is a guaranteed death unless it's a fully-buffed Heavy with Medic. As you zoom in, the rifle charges up and after 2 seconds it reaches full power. This happens every time you zoom. Primary Weapon: A Sniper Rifle. It has a high level of zoom and does high damage at close-far range. With a headshot it is always a critical and a guaranteed death. Secondary Weapon: A SMG or Tommygun. It does moderate but fast damage at close-medium range. Melee: A Machete. It does moderate-heavy damage at close range. It's very good for running up to enemies with and slashing them apart. Scout: The runner of the Team. Although he only has 125 health, he is a fast member of the team. Almost twice as fast as other members of his team and 3x the speed of the heavy, his speed assists him in being a key Control or Flag capturer. He is first to arrive somewhere and with his double jump, he can reach places other classes cant. Primary Weapon: The Scattergun. Holding six shots, it is a high-powered shotgun that does heavy damage at close range and loses damage quickly as you are farther away. If you are far away, it is essentially useless. Can be traded in for the 'Force of Nature' which is a double-barreled shotgun which holds 2 shots. It however does extremely heavy damage and launches the enemy (and yourself if you are in the air) flying. Secondary: The Pistol. It does light damage from close-far range. It is handy for when you are too far away for your Scattergun to be useful and can be extremely quickly fired. Can be traded for an Energy Drink which makes you even faster than normal and invincible for a short period of time. Afterwards however you become vulnerable and slow for a short ammount of time. Melee: An aluminum baseball bat. It is very quick to swing and one of the Scout's most useful tools. It does light-heavy damage at close range. Can be traded for a Wooden Bat which launches Baseballs that stun opponents. Does extra damage against stunned opponents but does less against non-stunned opponents. Soldier: The grunt class of the Team. With his rocket-launcher, he is a heavy-damage class with moderate health that's specialty is doing heavy damage to unsuspecting members of the Enemy team, and taking out Engineer buildings. Main Weapon: The Rocket Launcher. It holds 4 shots and although it fires slow, the rockets do heavy damage and go very far. Very good for taking out slow targets, taking out groups, and taking out Engineer buildings. Secondary: The shotgun. It does moderate damage from close-moderate range. Melee: A foldable shovel. It does average damage from close range. Demoman: A one-eyed black scotsman with a drinking problem. Some people refer to him as 'Cyclops'. He wears an eye patch and drinks Alcohol almost all of the time. Main Weapon: A Grenade Launcher. It holds up to 4 grenades which have a timer of 2-3 seconds. They do very heavy damage at close-medium range. Secondary: A Sticky Grenade Launcher. It holds up to 8 grenades which can be detonated at any time with a right click. It can charge up to launch Grenades very far. It's range is unlimited due to it being able to fire almost across an entire map and they can be detonated from anywhere. Melee: An alcohol bottle. After a few hits however, it breaks and does possibly more damage. Medic: The healer of the team. With his Medigun, he can heal any member of the team to 150% their normal health and unlimitedly heal them while they are being fired upon. He can even heal around corners. He can also turn himself and his patient invincible. Primary Weapon: The Syringegun. It holds up to 40 syringes and fires them rapidly at close-far range (If you can arc them right.) They do quite a bit of damage quickly but also it quickly runs out of ammo. Can be traded for the Blutsauger which does less damage but heals the Medic. Secondary Weapon: The Medigun. It targets a beam at a member of your team (or a disguised enemy spy) that heals them up to 150% their health. After you heal a certain ammount of health, you gain Ubercharge. This makes you and your target invincible for 5-10 seconds. The Medigun can be traded for the Kritzkrieg which merely gives you/your target unlimited criticals instead of invincibility. Melee: A bonesaw. Does heavy damage at close range. Can be traded for the Ubersaw which is a high-tech saw which while it does less damage and cannot crit, it charges 1/4 of your Ubercharge Meter per hit. TF2 is a fun game. On a good server the teams work together to accomplish objectives and beat the other team to win the game. It's definitely team-oriented and makes it a heavy Co-Op game so it's definitely a Mic Recommended game. If you find a good server, it's definitely a fun game and for $20 or picking up the game with the Orange Box. it's easily worth it. One of the best multiplayer games, it's highly recommended. 9.3/10. It's Cel-Shaded Graphics are excellently done and running off the same engine that powers Half-Life 2: Episode 2 you can expect excellent graphics. The gameplay is excellent. The teams are obviously well-balanced and with the new update, the shitty servers are now removed from the Server Listing due to a points system. Easily deserves a 9.3/10.

Team fortress to is he sequel of the popular team fortress classic cmpared to the old version team fortress 2 looks more cartoony but still has that realistic feel to the game their are 9classes that have strenths and weaknesses for e.g the sniper is good at distances (oviously) but when it comes to close combat the smg isn't the bestt weapon you could have however the new jarate upgrade which is urine that you throw like a frag then it gives you mini crits against your enemy fot a certain amount of time which i used to spam lol.

ththe other classes such as heavy are good at close range but get obliterated at short range or at the will of a spy the upgrades that valve made were incredibly creative with their advantage and disadvantages for e.g the pyros backburner crap unless you hit the enemies back which could kill you in a instant or the scouts upgraded bat (the sandman) which makes the scout throw a baseball at the oppenent to stun hem however the scout can't double jump which is a huge disadantage for the scout since double jumps usually why scout can get way from gun fire.

the game was a really got price i got from gamesation for £10 months ago and still enjoy playin it to this day team fortress 2 is one of the best fps games i've playd this year besides cod4
