BATTLE ROYALE!

June 14th is the beginning of the Pwned.com Pokemon League Battles!!! Below you will find each of the contestants and how they were paired up. Simply contact your competitor to schedule a time between yourselves to battle! Do not stress if you do not get a response right away: we will give all competitors adequate time to respond before declaring forfeit. Then after the battle, I need one or both of you to send this League page a MESSAGE with the date of your battle, as well as WHO WON! I will update the brackets as I receive the information! So, Without Further ado, the match ups!

How matches were chosen:

I assigned a number to each of the canidates. Then, I asked a 3rd party with no investment in the battles to randomly pair up the numbers available with NO access to knowing which numbers were assigned to who. Those pairings were what was used.

Top 4 and the winner:

As shown by the brackets, the top 4 will become gym leaders, with the ability to create and govern their own gyms! The top winner will have gym status, but more powers than anyone else in the league, yet to be revealed.

BATTLE ROYALE
-Tournament Rule 1: NO UBERS ALLOWED
-Tournament Rule 2: Berries and held items ALLOWED
-Tournament Rule 3: Man-Made items [i.e: Potions, etc] NOT ALLOWED
-Tournament Rule 4: Level Matching WILL BE USED
-Tournament Rule 5: NO ILLEGAL HACKS!!
-Tournament Rule 6: Evasion Clause in effect.
-Tournament Rule 7: OHKO Clause in effect.
-Tournament Rule 8: Sleep Clause in effect.
-Tournament Rule 9: Species Clause in effect.
-Tournament Rule 10: Freeze Clause in effect.
-Tournament Rule 11: Self-KO Clause in effect.

GYM RULES
-Gym Battle Rule 1: All Battle Royale Rules Apply
-Gym Battle Rule 2: Players may only challenge a particular gym leader once a week!! IE. If you lose to a gym leader, you cannot challenge the same gym leader until 1 week has passed.
-Gym Battle Rule 3: All players who are/become gym leaders must make themselves available for challenges at least one time a week, to be set by the leader themselves and made aware to the community.




**It should also be noted that if you are caught using or having used Action Replay or any other "gmae genie" type of device to get stronger than legitly possible pokemon you WILL be banned from the tournament and from ever participating in Pwned.com Pokemon League activities again.**

FAQ

Q. When will the tourny start?
A. Satrday June 14th

Q: What will I need to compete?
A: You will need a DS lite and either pokemon diamond or pearl. The lite and the new gen pokemon games allow you to connect to anyone in the world via wifi capabilities.

Q. Who gets to be gym leaders?
A. The top placing people in the tournament will be awarded gym leader status

Q. How do you earn badges?
A. By competing against the pwned.com members who are leaders. if you beat them, you get a "badge" to place on your profile.

Q. Do I have to have a team of one type to enter?
A: No! No type/theme restrictions (aside from what is stated in the rules) on the initial tournament, although I propose those chosen as gym leaders have teams of a common theme, which doesnt have to be type (could be move styles, genders, evolutions, lightweights, heavyweights, etc etc CREATIVITY IS KEY!) Wouldn't worry about it until you've won and are a leader tho =P

Q: What is the tournament and gym battles? Are they different?
A: YES! The tournament, and every time that word is used, refers to the initial ladder style Battle Royale to determine the best of the best of all players involved. Those players become elites and gym leaders based on skill and tournament placement. The gym battles are then player challenges to the members of pwned who secured gym leader or elite status.

Q: What Pokemon are considered "Ubers"?
A: Ubers are the Pokemon that people normally collect but don't battle. THESE POKEMON ARE BANNED!! Why? Well the Pokemon are too overpowered for standard play due to abnormally high base stats and movepools. The Official List of Ubers: Arceus, Darkrai, Deoxys, Dialga, Giratina, Groudon, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Latias, Latios, Lugia, Manaphy, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, & Wobuffet. Any of the Legendary Pokemon that are not on that list can be used.
