Why spend all your time on something when you can do something basically as good and have more free time, right? They're just full of shit...yeah, it's big but it's not as good as what they say it is. I know that singing/songwriting is a hard path, and I know what you mean, I appreciate it. Being a musician is just something I feel I can do. I'm sorry it took so long man, really, I honestly thought I replied. So how are things?
Maybe, if I can't get a career in being a singer/songwriter I will. So people are telling you that you're too stupid to do anything else?
Ha, man Reading is pretty boring. Games are the only escape! I actually live in Cardiff at the moment for university but am from Reading and still live there During holidays.
lol, Doom was a very awesome game, although I sucked at it because I was too young to realize what was going on lol.
I got really into gaming around the release of Resident Evil, Tomb Raider and The Lost World ('96-97, so I would've been around 4-5 years old lol). So action-adventure/horror platforms are now my favourite. =]
Um...lol, I have like 385...so, I wouldn't call yours low. Lol, we'll just leave the inferiority thing, we both have little lives, lol we'll leave it at that. But, I do bet you have a nicer flat than me.
Awesome =]
I've been gaming for as long as I can remember as my dad is an avid gamer too. So more than 10 years.
How about you?
Claymore sounds oddly familiar. I may or may not have watched an episode or two of it a while back, haha. XD
The SNES was my first console, and what I loved about it was that you had a controller with buttons that would more or less do the same for all the games I played. I found that whenever I started up a computer game the learning curve was too steep and I lost interest before ever getting in to the game. Plus we never had the money to update our computer to keep up with the gaming trends, so meh. I've stuck with consoles. It's just simpler. XD So apart from the occasional game of Peggle or Neverwinter Nights, I don't play games on my computer.
I like the Zelda games too, my favourite one being Link's Awakening DX for the Game Boy Color.
Yeeeah. I used to watch Naruto, but stopped when the show reached its 100th episode. It made me realise that the madness would never, ever end and it wouldn't be worth it. Plus all the Narutards were really getting on my nerves XD You should really check out Monster if you have the time for it. It has a good and unpredictable story. I loved following it... don't think I ever finished it, which is a damn shame @_@; Should finish it someday me thinks.
Huge organised events are lovely. Makes me act like a little kid, plus I love how everyone there gets together and talks to everyone despite never having met before. Reminds me of all the scout camps I went to as a kid XD Great atmosphere. Ehem, anyway.
My chosen gaming platform? Well I do tend to favor the Nintendo systems, but I play whatever as long as they are games I enjoy. Only platform I'm really not into is games for PC. I'm on a mac, and as we all now, macs don't do games :P
Unfortunately Macross was the first mecha series I was exposed to, and that put me off mecha shows in general 8D I don't really know why, but something about them just bores the hell out of me.
I really loved Elfen Lied. It's been ages since I saw it, so I have to say that I can't remember that much of the plot, but I remember obsessing over the show for ages. It's far too short, though... but sometimes having a short show is good too. Certainly beats having 2478127482 episodes to a show. That really makes me lose interest after a while
I haven't gone to too many LAN parties, at least not big ones. I've attended The Gathering twice. Lots of fun, but they've pushed the ticket price up a whole lot so I can't be bothered to attend it anymore. This easter I'm going to Amsterdam instead 8D Will probably do me a lot better, what with actually being outside in fresh air and all XD
I was a member of a student society that got together and watched anime for a couple of years. I watched whatever they showed us, but I do tend to prefer the more morbid and odd series. Things like Elfen Lied, Monster, Higurashi no naku koro ni etc. I also like humor and really random things like Haruhi, Azumanga, FLCL etc. *shrug* I've been thinking I should watch Lucky Star some time, but I never have time to sit down and get into it. I guess I've grown out of anime a bit. Movies are easier to watch for me.
Ooh, a LAN party. I hope you'll get up in time for it. Those things are a lot of fun.
I missed my classes today because I did the same thing last night. Really stupid of me, I'll try to get my sleeping pattern fixed over the weekend. Not really sure it's going to happen, but I'll have to give it my best shot.
Yeah. I've failed to finish a lot of anime series because of not wanting them to end. It's very silly. I've stopped doing that now. Don't really watch much anime anymore either, now that I think about it. Hm.
It's 4:32am here, so I'm not much better. The day has been wasted away doing nothing at all, really. Been watching a lot of random tv shows offered for free over at nrk.no. Fun stuff if you understand Norwegian :P
I just finished watching the movie Clue, been a while since I last saw it, aaah I love Tim Curry. Awesome guy. I've also played some Super Mario Galaxy, but I'm taking my sweet time with it, because it's one of those games I just don't want to end D:
Yeah, but would you be able to devote all your attention to your love life/family/whatever if your career was sucky and dragging you down? I know I'd hate to be stuck doing something mundane and uninspiring. I want to do something worthwhile.. but I have yet to discover what that would be XD
*sigh* I wonder if I have my parents to blame for this void in knowledge about my future. A lot of people my age and younger seem to have plans ready for what they want to do, and here I am soon graduating from university with no clue at all. Not really a good feeling :/
Hey, I'm Jade and I'm doing great thanks =]
I think this site is really great, everyone's so friendly =] =]
I wish I could just not care about the fact that I have no plans once I'm done with university... but I'm done with university in a year or so, so it's actually kind of frightening. And yeah, sure, careers and everything might be meaningless since we all die anyway... but I feel that you have to stand up for what you do in life, exactly because no one survives it. Make it special and worth it for yourself. That's all that matters.
Lol, nice. I used to do the same thing when I was that age, pretty much the same games too, that's cool. I started when I was about 3 years old, with the original Nintendo. My parents actually got me into gaming. And yeah, I can see it's an eye now, still pretty cool. Lol, and I also doubt that your life is as little as mine, so congrats on the achievements, keep up the good work. So how many pwned points do you have?
Haha, I have no plans or dreams either. I keep thinking of really unachievable stuff like "oooh, I want to be a singer", to more mundane things like "oooh, I should open up my own shop". So I don't really know. And I also have no idea why I'm studying languages in the first place. Sure it's interesting and all that, but I don't think I'll use it much for whatever I end up doing in the future xD
Would be fun to be a translator, I guess, but that would mean that I'd have to continue on studying until I really was fluent. Something I'm far from being at the moment. Hm.. we'll see how I feel after this semester, I guess.
Mm...I like it here, I like what it's about...but getting points is hard, so I don't bother a lot. But it's a cool way to meet people, not for like online dating or whatever but just to talk. I really like the page header heart thing that you got, pretty sweet. And I see you have made many friends, lol that's cool. How long you been gaming?

Aw, no prob, I totally understand...dude, college rules your LIFE, and that's a fact...especially finals. I've been doing pretty good, the whole music thing is going REAL well, better than I thought kinda. I have a complete band now, well like I wanna get a cellist and a violinist and stuff, but we got a drummer/co-lead singer (kinda Atreyu style), I'm lead singer/rhythm, we got a lead guitarist and a bassist. We all like most of the same kinda music, and the whole chemistry thing that people talk about, I totally know what they mean. So what kinda stuff did you write?
