Gone Baby Gone-9/10

Kudos to Ben Affleck for producing and writing such a well made film. A wonder coming from such a D-bag.

Some people will have a problem with the ending, but the acting and production values are great. I recommend.

Best performance by an actor I've ever seen. Daniel Day-Lewis' Oscar was well deserved.

Before I start this...let me tell you I am NOT difficult to please at a movie.

Okay guys...honestly this is the worst movie i've seen in a looooooong time. They hype it up during the previews by showing these elephants and sabre tooth tigers and by show casing the director (who directed Independence Day & The Day After Tomorrow). Honestly you saw 95% of the cool parts on the preview.

Moving right along into the actually movie....at about the 15 minute mark I already had an idea what I was in for. The acting was sub-par...I couldn't tell you the name of one actor in the entire film (all D-list). The story line progressions were painful to watch, and the Epic-ness (if you will) of the movie was forced and unconvincing to say the least.

I did not at any point connect with ANY of the characters in ANY way, death scenes & fight scenes were laughable.

One thing I found kind of funny too was how one of the bad guys (who was some normal guy/slave trader) had a super suped up Xerces voice....that sounded like it was in surround sound and dubbed over 5 times, which I found completely ridiculous.

Basically if you see this movie dont' say I didn't warn you. It was honestly a 3/10 and a complete eye roller, if you could keep them open long enough to roll.

30 Days of Night 6/10

It was about what I expected. Not too good, but not too bad. Nice to see the Bear Trap used as a weapon though. Not to much of that happening lately. :)
