I was really thinking this movie would be awesome, but it was just boring. There were some pretty good parts, but not enough to make it a good movie. I don't completely feel like I wasted time, but I doubt I'd watch it again.
I.. don't know. I had no expectations going in to it. I loved the atmosphere and feeling of it, and I enjoyed the way they incorporated the flashbacks, but odd special effects and the ending kind of ruined it for me.
AvP:R (7/10) This was better than the first AvP. I want to see aliens vs predator. Not humans vs aliens or vs predator. The all out epic battle between aliens vs predator is what generally most people want to see. This is why the first AvP was a failure.
My friends kept saying the concept sounded cool. I never even felt the concept sounded that great personally. I'm still up in the air trying to figure out if I think that Hayden kid can even act very well.
Regardless the movie was horrible. From beginning to end I was pretty much annoyed. The acting was subpar...the leading girl was kinda cute I guess. Oh yes can't forget bleach blonde Samuel Jackson the Paladin as the final boss, wielding his energy projectile sabre . LoL....its laughable. Oh well you get the point...don't see.
"I'd rather have watched 27 dresses". - me after watching Jumper.
Cloverfield - 9/10
I love the shaky camera effects. Also the fact that they specifically looked for un-named actors to help give it the feel of it could be a real thing. I love these kind of things in my movies. Sense of realism always makes things more fun.
