If you are located near San Jose,CA you should goto the Nvidia GeForce LAN that Nvidia is hosting in San Jose from Aug 25-27, The current price for the LAN is $30, you get free food, free Bawlz energy drinks, and they give away tons of prizes, last I saw it was over $50,000.

This year they are trying to make it the biggest yet, so the Guinness Book of Records will be there too for this LAN to be the biggest LAN ever.


Most of the prizes that are given out are either from hourly raffles from all their sponsors or winning prizes from playing Musical Chairs or making paper airplanes (and tons of other similar type activities/games). And by prizes there not junky parts either, last year I won a Video Card from musical chairs, 3 power supplies from a couple of the hourly raffles, a computer case and AMD X2 5000+ CPU from the main raffle.

I don’t work for the LAN but I want to spread the word to help make it the biggest LAN ever plus the LAN will be more enjoyable if its full.

Also there is going to be a 3-D animation convention thing and work shops on building and maintaining gaming computers and other computer related stuff. Plus there is going to be many tournaments from Team Fortress 2, Guitar Hero, Call of Duty 4, and Unreal Tournament 3 others. Check out the prizes for the tournament they are really good. (If you don’t play those games its ok because others will be playing just about every popular new and older pc games)

Video Games Live will be there too, which is that live orchestra/light show where they play video games.

I think tickets are only going to be $30 bucks for a few more weeks.

Try to get more people to go, but if you are going solo or want to join me and a group of my friends were are in section C*3 so far we have about 6-8 spaces taken and the rest of the aisle is free.

Oh yeh you can bring your gaming consoles too (for all you Halo 3 and COD4 on console, gamers), and if you don’t think you can game for a whole 3 days, there is a ton of stuff there to keep your self occupied and entertained. (They also are going to have some HI-DEF movies they play every night on a HUGE screen, I think this year they are going to have some 3-D movies too, oh yeh and the past few years they always had some celebs from the movie/gaming/modeling industries.

Damn, its these kinda things that make me wish I lived in California! :L .
