So today we decided to launch the early version of the toolbar. I'm sure if you've logged in, you have seen it. Some people may want to always keep it hidden(goops) and others may absolutely love it(jerf). I personally love it, since the development and testing of it, it has really grown on me.

So this is where I hand it over to you users. What would you like to see with the toolbar? What suggestions do you have? What could have been done better OR we can change to make it better?

You've heard everything I have to say about it. I find it distracting and unnecessary except perhaps to notify users of site updates. But otherwise, everything you need to know is displayed in the top left corner by your avatar. It's just eye candy, which isn't bad, but isn't particularly useful either.

I agree, it is kind of distracting.

I don't find it distracting, just not very useful. So, it's good it has the hide button.

I dig it because I always get excited glancing down there every once in a while and seeing new notifications. Better than checking my email every 2 minutes. But the show / hide is obviously a good thing for those who don't like.

I happen to like it too.. especially because sometimes you're all caught up in stuff and can glance down to see a new FR or Msg.
