Well, it's quite neat, but I sorta liked the N64 one more.
It might be older, but you had a lot of freedom collecting stars instead on being fixed on one at a time.
Plus, the leveldesign was kinda more interesting...
I liked it just got dizzy going upside down half the time lol. N64 games were classic for every Mario game (Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Super Mario, Mario Kart), so it's really hard to compare. It is definitely a solid game.
Definitely a masterpiece that awards its players who devote the time to actually play through the whole thing to get that 121st star.
This game is a must-have must-play, and certainly does not disappoint.
“Life is like a video game. There is always that one final riddle, that one final boss to beat and then you get your happy ending. But in order to finish that riddle you have to clear your mind and start over fresh, and in order to beat that boss you sometimes have to fight until you are strong enough. But if you give up on the game then you never will know what that happy ending is.”

I do like Super Mario Galaxy. The new look is awesome, and I don't rly believe that the game play is confusing. It's actually something someone could get used to.I love how the same moves are in it, and how there are new ones, like the spinning techneque... you know the one you can do at will.
I don't know why, but I never really was amazed with this game. I played the heck out of it when I got it, but was never a OMG game to me. Also, spring mario was annoying.
