No, I am not talking about the expansion pack for Doom3. I thought their was some interviews with John Carmack about Doom 4, but I lost it.... But I have a link of more info:
I hope they get a better Physics Engine for the AI to allow them to jump on and off walls or ceilings so its a bit more surprising then just using a spawning animation of them coming down from the ceiling like those trites.
I want it to be less like halflife, and more like doom. Something that dissapointed me is that the tactical gameplay was too much on the, 'what did you learn from halflife' side instead of, 'what did you learn from doom2' type deal. I want to infiltrate rooms of zombies that own the place, i want to make the big ones fight the small ones, i want to watch the fights between deamons that i started, and go into another room and find a KEY! I WANT KEYS, i wanna go find the blue key to find the damn yellow one, so i can get my ass kicked trying to get the red one, and if i'm badass enough i'd live. I don't want to be led through a cutscene after cutscene scenerio. I don't want to be forced through a certain path. I want there to be secrets, and i'm ok with them being sorta halflifeish, as long as you can hunt for keys too. I wouldn't mind seeing old deamons.
It would be awesome if satan himself made bets with you if you could live, and owe you things >:) and you would own satan's soul by the end of the game Muahahahah!
