tbh id say most people problems are that they are trying to upload pictures that are too big
the max file size for each photo is around 1MB
so if you pic is bigger than that, cut it down kids!! :)
An image I uploaded won't show up when you click on it. Neither does it show up on the image management page. The thumbnail shows up fine on the profile and gallery pages though.

Trust me. I do this all the time.

Looking at that one image, it looks like you have a bunch of space marks in the file name. Try re-uploading with a filename that has no spaces in it.

Make it

That should do it I would think.

I'm having a problem with my animated GIFs.
They upload fine to 'My Pictures' and the little thumbnails are animated in 'Edit Pictures'.
But when it comes to viewing them full size they are no longer animated. If I go back into the 'Upload/Edit Pictures' section at any time, the thumbnails are still happy to animate.
The GIFs are all under 1mb in size, but could it be the dimensions that are the problem?

its quite possible it is the dimensions, if its larger than a certain size, it dynamically resizes it, but i havent expanded it yet to include animated gifs. ill take note of this
Aha! It does appear to be the dimensions.
I was just upping all my screenshots taken in 800 x 600 and letting the site resize. Some of these screenies I combined into GIFs and didn't bother to resize them either (whaddayamean lazy? Haha), so they too were 800 x 600.
I experimented by resizing the original. Here is what I found.
100% - 800x600 = No animation (Original upload)
90% - 720x540 = No animation
85% - 676x507 = No animation
80% - 640x480 = Animation works correctly
75% - 600x450 = Animation works correctly
50% - 400x300 = Animation works correctly
So it seems the golden dimensions for the largest possible animated GIF are 640x480
Thanks for your superfast response BTW, wasn't expecting to be answered so promptly.
Hope my experimenting helps you or others. :)
