Nick-of-Troy comes from a couple of events. Firstly, when i started at my new school, everyone thought for some reason or another that my name was Troy. That year i started Classical Studies, and while studying the Odyssey the nickname came up via a friend.

My classics teacher wasn't to kind, He refered to me as "the face that repelled one thousand ships"

Mine is a long drawn out story that stems back to my high school days. During a phase where I started to become the person I am today. Life kept getting worse and worse for me for the longest time, so I started to delve into death as a solution. It encompassed most of my life. Then some buddies of mine started to get really into the Greek religion and the stories. They began to refer to me as Hades. The name stuck. I delved deeper into the practices of the ancient Greeks and the religion made much more sense to me than any current out there. As is obvious, I chose Hades as my patron and primary of worship. But that's getting a bit off topic. It just has so many meanings to me that to not have the Nick of that kind of bugs me.

Let's see if people will even understand what I am about to explain. lol

In '97 I used the name GhettoDope on IRC because I was a huge fan of Master P's album of the same name. After joining the USAF, i lost the name due to inactivity and someone else snatched it up. So being a fan of the WCW and nWo in particular, I made the name MWS_bWo_Ghetto_Nitro. MWS = MeadoWood Styles, basically the nickname of our group of friends growing up. bWo = Brooks World Order, as I was stationed at Brooks AFB and thats what we called ourselves. Ghetto to keep the similar theme of GhettoDope. And finally Nitro for WCW show Monday Night Nitro. It was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long, so I condensed it down to Ghetto_Nitro, which I used until around 2004. But it caused way too much confusion on who I am, as most assumed I was from the ghetto and what not, and I got tired of explaining what it was about. So I shortened it to G-Nitro and it's stuck since. It's simple and easy to remember. B)
