I thought Silent Hill was pretty cool.

Some people were into the Tomb Raider movie....i've actually never seen it.

Some movies could have been awesome if....they were just written right like D00m. I was so excited about that movie, and then the premise dropped, followed by my hopes and expectations.

But for the most part I completely agree with you.

I thought Double Dragon was good... lol

TBH, i'm glad it's CG, i hated the resident evil movies.

I liked the Silent Hill movie. Looking forward to the 2nd one.

Other than Final Fantasy Advent Children, I have yet to see a good video game movie. I heard the Resident Evil movies were good I just haven't seen them yet. My respect for video game moive went so far down the tubes, after i saw the Bloodrayne movie, I don't think it'll be at the point it once use to be.

I agree with DH, I haven't yet seen a video game movie that I have even remotely liked. I don't count Advent Children, really, since that was all Square. Silent Hill, while it had a couple good moments that really reminded me of why I loved the games in the first place, was the epitome of suck. It was Americanized and raped into becoming one of the sub-par horror movies that high school kids and soccer moms go to see on the weekends. It was ruined just like The Ring and The Grudge. And I'm an enormous Silent Hill fan. I think it was just a tragedy.

As for the RE movie, the LAST Resident Evil movies blew, so I am hoping that this one will not. We'll have to see, I suppose, though I'm not going to hold my breath.

LoL....oh boy. I don't' think I can be called a true SH fan...i've only played like 1.5 of them. What i meant by "decent" was by the end of the movie thinking....that wasn't bad. Unlike a movie like 10,000BC which TRULY blew a goat and received some of the lowest ratings i've ever seen for a movie. I literally BOO'd at the end and stood up and started booing again....others joined. At the end of SH I just stood up shrugged my shoulders and nodded my head...and stated "not bad". :0P

At the same time I guess I dont' completely understand the SH concept :0D so ill shut up now!
