Out of curiosity did anyone get into this? I tried to sign up at file planet for a Beta key, and once again presented with a series of steps.

Step 1: Take this survey to see if you qualify.

Done! I win.

Step 2: Register for the Site...again?

Done! Easy enough

Step 3: Collect my token!

SccCcrReEeeCH! Everything came to a halting stop. Looks like all of their "public" tokens are gone and all they have left are their file planet "member" tokens. So basically I have to join their monthly service. Sounds like a marketing scam to me.

Did ANYONE get one of these "public" tokens? I tried to sign up the first time as soon as I got their email and they were out of "public" tokens, and now they said they had alot of extra's for a second key release, and the same thing happened.

Through some trickery I was able to weasel my way into the COD4 Beta....(that I put in a good 40+ hours on FtW). Doesn't look like this one is happening 4 me.

Yea, it was things like this that made me stop even reading file planets newsletters. They offer up all these cool beta entries. But if you are not a member, you can never gain access to them. Or even if you are, you are never guaranteed in either. As far as the "public" token things, I've seen things about this beta and never read anything about them. I may have missed it, but I don't remember seeing anything about it.

That would be awesome. Great Idea, I'd say throw it into the comments/suggestions section. That would bring pwned closer to being a one stop shop for gaming needs.
