I was born and grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. I currently live in London, UK.

I work as a senior network engineer near Liverpool street, London.

Currently playing: Team Fortress 2, StarCraft and Crysis on the PC; Oblivion, Forza 2 and a few sports games on the Xbox 360; Super Mario Galaxy, Wario and Wii Sports on the Wii and The World End With You, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time and loads of emulators on the DS

When I was a kid we actually had a PONG machine. It was big and red and it was powered by one of those big square batteries. I moved onto a ZX spectrum soon afterwards. Then came the NES, how great that I didn't have to wait for load times anymore. I then bought a Sega Genesis with money from a good old fashioned paper round. I also bought a game gear, but didn't like it all too much. Eventually the PS1 came, followed years later by the ps2. Throughout this time I was constantly at the arcades.

PC: AMD X2 3800+, 2GB Ram, Inno3d 8800GT 512MB, 150GB Raptor, 250GB Spinpoint, 250GB External, Windows XP

My copies of FF7 and 8 are on PC, too. I've been playing them on the computer hooked up to the tv wth a Logitech gamepad. lol I bought them forever ago because I really wanted to play them and didn't have a PSX.

And going to Hungary sounds soo exciting. What are your plans there?

I'm doing really good though and I got to put some stuff on our baby registry and the weather's been nice so I've been trying to get out some more to get exercise and stuff... How are you?

And it is sooo exciting. I have been going baby craaaazy and I've been looking at things we'll need for weeks. And then I finally got the guts to start our baby registry. It only has like two things on it because I want to wait to see the sex. Phil isn't half as excited about looking at stuff. He's a big financial planner and he's just worried about how we'll afford all of it. It's troublesome to worry about it, but I think we'll find a good balance. We went to Babys'R'Us last weekend and looked at all the things they had there and he finally got pretty into it. I think he just needed to see them all in front of his eyes instead of in pictures. And holy crap, I wrote you a book!

anyways, the drawbacks of linux are there if you've never used an alternate OS. I've used everything from dos to unix with everything inbetween linux bsd and linux.

tbh, linux is okay as a desktop OS. it's the best as a server though. what do you want to do though? What is the primary purpose of your desktop? That's the most important thing.

I always figured I'd wait to until it was born to see the gender too.. but now I just wanna know really really bad! It'll give me a better chance to prepare and all, too. I was born with a disease(hip dysplasia) that occurs more commonly in females... and plus, if it's a girl I'm gonna go crazy buying clothes and everything will be pink! Ahaha.

Hahaha, I'm good, and the tummy is great as far as I can tell. We haven't been able to "check" it for anything but they'll be making sure it's growing at a good rate and seeing if it looks like it may have symptoms of Downs Syndrome and other things like that at my ultrasound a week from Tuesday. And we'll also see if its a boy or a girl and I'm so excited! Hahaha.
