About GameX
GameX (Games & Media Expo), scheduled October 23-25, 2009 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, is a national game consumer show and ‘pop culture’ festival produced by Virtual Rush Gaming and NBC 10, designed to draw from national, regional and local audiences of game players, film and TV fans, comic book buffs and tech enthusiasts. High-value consumer content is being provided by exhibitors and sponsors, including major media and entertainment companies seeking to build their brands with the core games audience.
GameX is the only major game consumer show in U.S. supported by a major media sponsor, NBC Local Media in Philadelphia – WCAU TV/NBC 10. A high-visibility entertainment, tech and media show with games as its main attraction, GameX also features advance film and TV screenings and trailers, celebrity guest appearances, high stakes game tournaments, robotics demonstrations, video art installations and much more.
Produced and presented by five regional chapters of International Game Developers Association (IGDA), GameX is hosting GameX Industry Summit, a two-day conference featuring panels and workshops for game professionals and students.
