All around great game. Good story, good multi-player!
the graphics were the best at the release time so to see the laser and other added weapons were nice for online multi. but i thought that the co-op mode was better rounded off this time. plus no switching back and forth between arbiter and master cheif.all in all much better than halo 2
this game has an awesome story line, but i found that it was a little too short
mabie that was because after a week and only making it half way through the seemingly endles halo2 i gave up lol
online is ok but i find can be a little bullshit at times cause most of the weapons suck EX. : battle rifle
story line endless fun with grant b-day if u no some that dont no about or play with it on invite them a story game and shoot a grant in the head 5-10 will be what in the hell was that ull may get a kick out of it
campaign= eh... too short... too slow... too boring... but still decent in respect to gameplay
online play= amazing...
i agree with doajiggie... the size of the online community is just ridiculous. to me it just never gets boring. there's always someone to play with and different games to try. double exp weekends are always fun and the selection of custom games is endless.
all in all, i am totally in love with this game.
this really is a great game the main reason people don't love it like they loved halo 2 is well basically its not the same game they equipment was something people didn't want to have to learn to use or deal with after playing halo 2 for so long there is also the levels people complain but i think that's again because its not the same people don't like having to learn new things i didnt like the levels at first but once i learned them i started to love them but i would still like some halo 2 levels to be added blackout just inst as good as lockout was.
This is one of the $!hitiest overhyped games I've ever played.
I give it 10 because it is the biggest online community for a game I have seen. The campaign is great but too short if you play on anything but legendary. If you are sort of new to FPS then go with heroic. But either way I still think this is a great game.
I'm going with 8 stars. Sure, the online is decent(especially compared to the hacker friendly Halo 2), and not many bugs at all. Halo 2's "superjumps" annoyed the crap out of me.
The single player is kinda lacking. I can beat the entire game in about 3 hours. The story is ok, but nothing to get excited about. It doesn't answer much, and it brings up more questions, especially the post-credit movie thingy.
I think this game is only fun if you play online. Great graphics, a lot of fun.. give it a try 9 stars

I personally really enjoy the gameplay. I haven't been able to follow the storylines; I lent my original Xbox to one of my exboyfriends...ALL of my games, ALL of my controllers, and my memory card...I broke up with him thinking he was a nice guy...and he ended up SELLING EVERYTHING or stealing them and pretending like he "returned it" but someone ELSE must have stolen them. So I never got to play my halo games to the end =(
But I do currently have Halo 3...so hopefully I'll get to finish...and I'm also planning on reading some of the novels...

I disagree i liked the ending and thought it was a good way to end the trilogy, IF it has ended that is
could care less about story mode...the multiplayer is were this baby shines ^^
p.s. multiplayer takes skill and teamwork in this game or you will be called a noob.
