it is one of the best fps imo.. halo sucks personally..

I love both battlefield 2 and 2142, but i tend to play this one more, support classes unlockable gun (Not the shotgun, the other one) is good, but i believe the default is better, and Northern strike is well worth getting also.

I would have to say one of the better FPS's I have played. Although you would only get the true satisfaction out of it playing multiplayer. The unlocks are great, just spread the wealth of unlocks, you will find that unlocking the recon class not always the best, and sticking with the standard weapons might just be better for you then the upgraded. Some like the higher powered weapons but they, then lack amount of ammunition. If your in a fire fight, which you almost always are, you are looking to aim for the head, and if your out of ammo, then your screwed.
Just take a look at my stats ( http://www.2142-stats.com/The_Ichi_Oni+stats.html ) and you will see I stuck with primarily standard weapons, and just equipment unlocks.
