Hey Guys! Idea! (Social Calendar Additions)

So what if someone was planning to have a whole bunch of people playinng Gears, Halo or any other game,and they've planned playing it a while ago, but they didn't have a full team (say 3 out of 5) , and may want people to join them from pwned.com? I think an option of maybe allowing members to update the calendar socially (meaning no pwned points be given out) and have others just to play along with?

So you basically want to open up the events calendar for all members? My question with that is how do we make it so we don't have tons of events on every single day. We need some kind of moderation in place.

yea open to everyone to add in events they are having. and there would need to moderation or approvals on the new additions before they get added to the event calendar. I would assume seperating a pwned calendar for members and another for non members to post their events would be easier to test it out and see if it works, not saying that it wouldn't work out. but i am sure it will get minimal use.

id have to agree with adam having two calandars would and could confuse memberts.We could post some events for people that are not pwned nights as we have in the past whom every wanted to set a night would just have to give someone the info.

Members have always had the opportunity to add in game events, they have just needed to message an admin to do so, and it had already been setup so they wouldn't get points for unsponsored events. There was a link on the calendar page when mike was doing it. prolly just need to setup a thread in the forums for members to post an event and a mod could follow through with adding it in for them

I will start the thread and we shall see what happens but then again, this does nothing for non-members.. but its a start without coding needed to be done by the devs.
and thank you Elite for pushing the idea, it has been quite awhile since it has been brought up.

Also I think he is asking to be able to pull pwned members into their games also. so yea it would be a social calendar. I can picture it in my head, but the implementation of it is pretty cloudy... :/

perhaps having the site calendar, and a personal calendar? have it post to your page so friends can join and you can moderate it. This idea has been done before with the personal shoutboxes, why not calendars?

There is now a specific color sorted just for a "members" event. You will need to contact an admin or ask in the live feed for one to be added. But this issue is as close as it is going to be resolved. Locking.
