Is this place dead?

I'm cleaning out my bookmarks and so I'm routinely going through and seeing which forums I go to are dead. I'm also finding out which forums I will be missed at if I leave. So, is this place dead? Will this forum ever make a come back? And if I were to leave this forum, would the community miss me? Also, by dead I mean that there is little or no activity.

it is not "dead" you are in the wrong boards. every thread gets read, but the erratic board is most active. also tell your friends to come over.

death would imply life at some point and considering forum activity is higher no then its ever been im not sure what to vote for

by your definition of dead, yes this forum could see more usage. yes you would be missed, as anyone would be that is trying to add to this forums content. usage depends on member involvement and use. this forum has its popular threads and ones that (as Vulgar said) just get read. although it would be a better situation if for every thread / post, there would be more discussion in the topic being posted.

if you don't feel your opened threads are getting the attention you feel they deserve. maybe try to break down some barriers and try for some more controversial subject matter. editing and writing in a forum can be time consuming and bothersome i know, but how about adding more eye candy (pics), links and further information to talk about within your threads.

just remember to keep the forums clean of hate, pirating, nudity, spam and illegal subject matter.

also there is alot of good threads that have been buried. try going back through the forums and reviving old threads with still relevant subject matter or your opinion on what is posted.

we are all for zombie threads, unlike other sites, sometimes ppl just didnt get a look at older threads and some fresh eyes are great. just dont bring up old threads that are like "i need an answer in 2 days" when it was posted a year ago.

It could make a comeback if people would take the time. It seems everyone these days prefer real time communication, e.g. the chatbox. While I understand the lure to chat like apparatuses in this ever increasing society build on instant gratification, with forums you can have a more concise discussion about a topic. With more information in each post, links, pictures, etc. All in one place to better facilitate discussion flow. Instead of what could be a haphazard manner of a real time chat, as the flow there is ever changing like the ocean. Don't want to capsize. All I am saying is that each has it's uses and it would be spiffing if more people would use the forums.


Anyways, yes you would be missed. Anyone that leaves would be missed. We value each and everyone of you. I know sounds hippie like. Don't worry I won't try and hug you. We can sing a song if you like? No? Ok, that's fine. Bottom line is keep posting. Dress your posts up with pictures and whatnot. Get peoples brainmeats going.
