Have you played ANY console version of pacman from that era? They all suck, in fact the 400/800 version was better.

...and yes, they all were horrible attempts to cash in on the arcade hit. None of them were worth the $50 pricetag.

Hell no I never played pacman on Atari. I had it for NES and hated the game. Although I do like the CE version on XBLA.
Those screenshots are horrible I am glad I wasn't forced to play that.

It was more like the more popular version. I doubt you could consider it actually better.
