Issues with Games in the Game Database

As it is, with user submitted content, it would rather hard to do that. We would have to re-write the whole database and user submissions would take much longer as we would have to manually add each game into it's said page. While it would be nice it would be a step away from our user influenced stance we have atm.

I see where that would be a neat feature. For when you are looking at a specific game page, it also shows other games on other platforms, re-releases, different editions, ect.. But how the games pages are setup now, they are single game specific, other then the Glogs. Which can contain multiple games being talked about and be on several game pages.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure users can decide which game the edition belongs to (it would become just another thing to fill out when you add the game), and the approval would only take longer in that there's one more thing to double-check. ( In fact, it would be easier for users if they can click on the game, and then choose to add edition with options to change only where it differs, instead of a completely different one from scratch ... ? )

I do understand that I'm suggesting a lot of extra work with existing games, though ^^

That is true, it would just be neater to find one link for one game, and everyone playing that game be directed to one place where everything for that game shows up.

EDIT: That's weird..I have to double-quote quotes that don't have usernames in the code for it to actually show up as a quote... and "reply with quote" is using the pwned username instead of the forum's display name... bah! xD

not entirely, you made a good suggestion and it can be discussed. It isn't off topic nor derailing, But I do encourage you to make a new Thread in the Suggestions topics so that we can further this as i think it is good suggestion or addition to what is currently done.

A question, when adding the titles, it asks for a game image. The choose file prompt brings up a file for images on my system. When I select the proper image and send the info, is the site receiving the image from my system or should I be inputting an image web address from the page that I found the image?

Yup you are supposed do it from your system, they do receive it when it happens..

Well, then ya'll need to get a'crackin" cause I've sent in quite a few additions to the database in the past 2 days with plenty more to follow.

I usually check most weekdays on this, sometimes I get busy and can't get them, I am heading to it now.
Also may I add you guys should try and make your images at least 250x250 or bigger and NO white spaces?
