You know I care less about prizes and shit. I think there actually should be more restrictions and fewer ways to get points tbh. At least untill there can be something done to help pay for them to be redeemed. Then they can be opened back up to help facilitate or accentuate other features of the site. Oh yea and why is it always dependent on actual monetary goods. Why not create digital "gifts" or custom things to be added to a users profile, or just something tangible. digital or physical. It really doesn't have to cost a shit load of money. Go get some cheap toys and stick a fuckn pwned.com sticker on it and sell it for some points. Just saying, as I have already said before. Just being able to use them is fun enough. By only having what is in the marketplace you limit the users ability to even want to obtain them or engage in activities to earn them. You set the bar to high imo. I'll pay 2,000 points for a cool check mark "verified" on my profile. Or 100 points for a sexy pic of your chest hair.. 150 if there's a nipple... It doesn't even have to be gaming related. I love those squishy little pigs that have slime shit come out their ass when you squeeze them. You know wtf I am talking about, you can pick them things up wholesale and paint a fuckn clown face on them and a target P on it's butt-cheek. 600 points easy. **may want to add some checks in the http://pwned.com/privacysettings/. Now that everyone can see everyone. Some will want to have some option to make it private. Yet still have their friends see it and the only thing in there is for the whole activity feed on/off.

***Hovering over a users pic in the live feed / friend feed, (ONLY IN THE LIVE FEED / FRIEND FEED! NOWHERE ELSE!!) should bring up some contextual shit and can quickly comment, message, add as friend, ect. Keep it simple. I'm a typical American, lazy. I don't really want to move from my user page, if I don't have to. Your profile is to far away to gtf off the user page anymore. Keep me there for as long as you can, keep me entertained. see im on the fence about the points. atm i dont see any point in them being there since like most of the ways you used to earn points has now gone and like everything has gone from the marketplace, which i understand cus it has to go out your own pockets. but what i said in my original post was that you get points by visiting and participating in community activities, instead of just posting stuff, which i believe limits the people being able to spam/scam for points. but i like adams idea of online gifts like things you can add to your profile or w.e.
now i know you're currently in discussion about points, but i just want you to consider the points for participation route. that way not only will people getting points, but they'll be actually visiting the site to start with. if u make it like 10 points just for logging in per day, people will log in every day. if you give them extra points for joining in with certain forum topics (like the debate one i was talking about).

Points could always be replaced by site virtual medals/achievements. Or points could purchase virtual gifts like 100 for a picture of flowers for a female gamer, or 500 for a picture of deodorant for a gamer with a stinky attitude. Virtual gifts can then be displayed on user's profile.

A tutorial is a very certain thing that has been tossed around the site. What we need is to have something wrote up in the forums, something involving EVERYTHING that can be possibly talked about to a new comer here. Displayed in a nice presentable fashion. Something that you would use if you were a new comer to the site and wanted to know what there was do. And the steps needed to do so. If anyone has the desire to do something like that, please by all means start it up as a new topic and we can go from there.

A quick chat at the side tht shows people who are online but with toggle menus so it can show just your friends and like you clicked there name a pop out chat would appear so you can talk to your friend and invite others into your private chat and when you change the page to something else on the site you can still talk to them
