Wii U is approaching fast, Excited yet?

The time for the release of Nintendo's next console, Wii U. Is almost upon us all.
Who else is excited for this to happen?
What are you expecting to see for the release game lineup from Nintendo? I personally hate to smash on Nintendo, but. Party game, party game, party game! Is what they are going to do.. Yet again

Now that the Wii made motion control gaming the next best thing since sliced bread for the competition. Do you think PlayStation and Xbox will follow suit and also offer a tablet controller?


This right here! Is my SHIT! I am going too love having this in my hands. (Playing Zelda or Mario) :P

im excited and yet cautiously optimistic, I have a lot of questions about online features, DLC, achievement system, and so on. From what devs said at E3 each company has to have there own online network and that means different friends lists based on publishers unless they change something. Also whats the battery life in the tablets? Who is going to buy it? Yes there are hardcore nintendo fans but not as many as there used to be, most people are turned off after what happened with Wii and Gamecube 3rd party wise. Not to mention 3DS launch. Nintendo has been eroding peoples faith in there ability to support consoles for almost 10 years. Its going to be an uphill fight. Also if a new PS4 or 362 are announced at E3 it will take thunder and sales from this. I for one dont want a system that is slightly more powerful then PS3, uses DVDs, has no DVD playback, and online worse then PSN. Thing is while as a nintendo fan im super excited for the WiiU I also am debating wait for a price drop.

Oh and there is the only one tablet support thing, I dont care how expensive they are nintendo thats my choice if I want to buy 2 not yours. So it sounds like a bad excuse for not wanting a big enough processor to stream to 2 tablets.

I dont know as of now Im half getting one at launch and half getting one after a decent price drop.

:0 sorry lost track of my line of thought, if no one buys it because of the many many reasons I listed and more, hard times and what ever else, how long before 3rd parties drop support. If you remember Wii had pretty good 3rd party support for the first 9 months or so because it was so hot but soccer moms dont want hot titles they buy cheap shovel wear. So if it dont sell the 3rd party support could drop like a rock. Which is another huge fear I have. Anywho as before I dont know as of now Im half getting one at launch and half getting one after a decent price drop. Im remaining hopeful as possible.

This was this issue with Sega as well, Saturn wasn't selling and 3rd party support waned, they dropped the Saturn and started development on the Dreamcast, and no one wanted to back it with the failure of the Saturn and add-on disaster of the Genesis. I foresee the same happening to the big N if this has a similar fate as the Wii.

nintendo doesnt seem to get hardware anyway so I would rather them just making games. Not that there stuff goes bad its just not what people want, no dvd play back wtf seriously just one example

Yeah, I feel Sega was opposite, decent games some great, but their hardware was always, and still is, top notch. A Sega/Ninty console would be a dream come true. Sega hardware, and Ninty games. would be the best merger ever haha

i personally am not gonna get it, its graphics dont impress me, and pretty much they will just make the same games they have since nes/snes days. mario, mario kart, donkey kong, zelda etc. i was in love with nintendo up to the n64. gamecube and beyond which i bought both wii and gamecube were horrible to me. also i dont care about the new xbox either, xbox is dead to me....only thing im excited about is the new playstation. also i really wish they would make a new more advanced dreamcast i loved that system.
