Diablo or System Shock, Half life series maybe some Simcity. PC has a very deep history of great games. From text based to point and click. Space Quest, Kings Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Gobliiins. ect.. Those are some of, imo, the best for PC. And represent the pinnacle of PC gaming. Since then, it has been about what the consoles can do and what scrapes the PC market can pick up after them. Minus some hardware intensive games i.e. Crysis. The PC crowd gets the short end of the stick nowadays.
And for what little extras they do get from games, they most certainly pay for it in the hardware required to run the few mods and extras they have access to. But just as I was when I had an awesome gaming rig, you gush at every pore when you get to see the extras, no matter the cost.
