Saw yesterday. Insurgency is a great mod, it deserved to win. Yeah. Although, it might compete with Call of Duty 4 ;)

As always, this year's contest started by rounding out the top 100 through community nominations. Public voting was then held to list to the top five games/mods in each of three categories - indie games, unreleased and released mods. After analyzing and gathering data based on the votes, we are finally ready to present the results. ModDB has approached this year's winners, in advance, in hopes of securing exclusive content for you, the viewer. We've come back with a few goodies that I hope you guys will like. It was a very close race to the number one spot this year. Regardless, every one of the winners showcased in this feature deserve the attention. I used to run with ATI, but after my X800XT died of overheating, I went Nvidia and haven't looked back. I initially bought a 7950GT which turned into a secondary video card after I upgraded to an 8800GTX. I recently learned that it is now possible to run in SLI mode on a multi-monitor setup, and purchased an additional 8800. I now sport a pair of 768mb 8800GTXs connected to a trio of monitors and a 46" 1080p TV. I could tell you I love 'tronics, but that would be understating the fact :) ...Wow. I have a 19 inch monitor with a $30 graphics card that can barely run Portal... :emo:

So other than making sure your pictures aren't named weird things.. what are the requirements for pictures you can upload to the site? Is there a size/file-type limit? I've been having some trouble with some pictures, but I think it may be because of their size 8D;; Try saving them at JPG .PNG: 1.5MB pictures... .JPG: 30kb (0.03MB) Even if you max out the JPG quality which doesn't change the picture at all (All my pictures are at 85% quality and they look fine) it's not usually more than half a megabyte. JPG/JPEG > PNG/BMP

Let's see uh... I watched most of DB. I watched all of DBZ/GT. I watched most of the Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin) OVAs. I've watched a few episodes of Naruto and Bleach in English, but I've seen most of the Naruto episodes in Japanese, and I've read most of the translated mangas out right now. I've watched most of the Bleach episodes in Japanese, but I need to download the latest ones :P And... yeah that's about it.

Mythos is a new Isometric MMORPG by the makers of Diablo 2. It is not sponsored by Blizzard, and it is NOT a commercial game. It will be available for free when it comes out. no its actually because of the naming scheme you have for your pictures. im working on fixing it so it never happens, but its hard. basically just use 1 . and leave taht for the extension I discovered it was because of a + sign in the names of two of my pictures. i.e Ty + Jeena in Living Room Ty + Guitar Spikey

ATI x1800 GTO crappy spec :D and btw nvidia is going to take 8800 price down to agaisnt ATI 3800 series xD lol What the 8800GT? or all 8800's like NEW GTS and GT also GTX????? The 8800 series is currently nVidia's best top-of-the-line cards. Here's a quick graph 8800 GTS < 8800 GT They both beat each other in certain sections, but the 8800 GT is most certainly cheaper. GTS can range from 300-400 dollars while you can find a GT for around $250-$300 :) The next one up is the GTX. This ranges for around $400. It's expensive but this is great if you can afford it. Dual GTX's is extreme. And finally is the 8800 Ultra. This is like a GTX on crack. It's insane how powerful these things are. One of these bad boys could PROBALY run Crysis on Very High (all) settings. Two of these and you will be set for the next 2 years (probaly) Nevermind. Apparently Crysis on max settings can bring three 8800 Ultra's to their knees. Stupid future proof game! There's nothing out that can play it on max! (P.S: An 8800 Ultra costs about $750 so... there's $2250 that still can't run Crysis...) Offtopic: I got the iPod Classic instead of an 8800GT. Once I get a job I'm gonna build a computer and steal the processor from this one. ;P

Spore is a game where you control an organic life form, like a bacteria of some sort. You start off small, but as you absorb or whatever you do, other guys you will eventually grow, You spend the game growing from a tiny organic life form to a planet controlling super power. Once you are large enough to travel to other planets, this will open "Multiplayer" mode, opening another whole aspect to the game. It sounds great, but with all the pressure that's on the company, they are either 1. Taking enough time to make it great or 2. Crumbling under the pressure. Lots of Hype, not much media. ;/

I jsut installed 2x8800gt 512mb... scored 2000 points better in 3dmark 05... OVER my 8800gtx! uninstalled my water cooling too... for now... What are you gonna do with your GTX? If you're gonna throw it out, PM ME FIRST! I need one ;P Give it to someone who needs it

How about this: upgrade your rig noob. I'm on a GeForce 6800 with a Sempron 2800+ @ 2.1GHz and I run CoD4 at 40 FPS on almost medium settings (only sacrificing HDR), so don't tell me it's unoptimized, you've just got shit hardware. By the way, it won Game of the Year, so it's obviously got more going for it than you care to mention (or rather, not mention). Bullshit. Portal won game of the year. I do agree that COD4 looks kickass though. Portal won GOTY because it's a great game with a lot a potential. COD4 might of won FPS Game of the Year, but not in general. What site were YOU on? Also spunky, Sempron? ... btw Is that a single core? I got a GeForce 7300 and a Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 @ 1.86 GHz, but my processor can be overclocked by 100% (To 3.72 GHz almost!)

Two of my five pictures I have uploaded do not show up, nor can I set them as my main picture. They are all around the same file size (50-100kb) and all have had red-eye removed in Gimp 2.x What could be causing this? P.S: They just show up as tiny rectangular black boxes.

What programs do you use during your gaming? GameRecorder, Fraps, Xfire, etc? I used to use xFire alot, but I don't use it too much anymore. I 'had' FRAPS and I will probaly get ahold of it again soon.
