Wow, It appears the 9800GX2 will rape the 8800 ULTRA, considering it's lower than the price of a 8800 GTX. =_=
Also, the 9600GT has already been released and it rapes the 3870 for a lower price. The 8800 GT still manages to come ahead, and you can get one for $209 off newegg and you'll get the 9600GT for around $179
Mar 16, 2008, 10:58:06AM, Listen to MUSIC while gaming!!
I think this guy is talking about listening to music during ONLINE GAMES.
I.E: Counter-Strike: Source or Team Fortress 2.
That's right! Someone with a bunch of time synced Johnathan and GLaDoS' version of Still Alive together into a Stereo Duet. It's really kickass! I've had it on loop for like 2 hours. :P

Kurosaki Ichigo from Bleach, mainly because his bankai is kickass.

Another one is Kakashi from Naruto (Japanese). If you read the manga, you learn a bit more about his history. So sad. :(

And Rurouni Kenshin/Kenshin Himaru from Samurai X (OVA... Original Video Animation)
Mar 1, 2008, 12:42:02PM, What products have you won?
I got a Audiosurf key from bluewolf and I won a table tennis t-shirt.
I personally have this game on steam now (Thanks BlueWolf :)
Still Alive is actually hard on Expert Ninja Mono! [/insert fist shake]
I spent about an hour playing through 3 portal songs and 1 TF2 song, and I tried an interesting game called Synaesthete.

I recommend buying Audiosurf through Steam. It downloaded quickly (Over 400 kB/s only took me like what... 5-20 minutes max?) and it was a 350mb download. It comes with the Orange Box Soundtrack (Hl2, HL2 EP 1+2, Portal, and TF2) and you can use any of your own songs. It's totally worth $9.95
While you're at it, also check out Garry's Mod 10. It's also $9.95 and really awesome.

Have fun... and go surf your audio!

I recommend a site such as www.ncix.com where you can build a computer online and they test it a bunch and put it together. I recommend sticking two 8800 GT's in SLI. The ATI Radeon 3870X2 is also nice. It's 30% faster than nVidia's 8800 GTX.

Building a computer is simple, as long as you are careful and have some basic knowledge (i.e you know to ground yourself before touching parts, etc). I built one last week and put it together. Everything worked except the floppy because the cable was upside down.

Never buy a pre-built at a large store such as Future Shop, Best Buy or w/e. I spent $2500 on a computer that came with a crappy graphics card. 2GB of DDR2 or even DDR3 Ram should do you good. Don't try and save money by getting a crappy graphics card. Also, I recommend a Killer NIC Network card for extreme networkular (that's not a word) capacity. Anyways, Good luck. I suggest after picking your parts posting the list in the Hardware n' Software section on www.purepwnage.com Most of the people there have loads of computer knowledge, namely the mods. I always ask questions there. Ask if the parts are compatible and everything, or if anything, ask for their recommendations. They respond fairly quickly and are very knowledgeable.

Good luck, Don't strip the screws, and be firm but gentle. (If you are building).

Ugh. This thread died fast.
Anyways, I got a beta invite a while ago. CSS made me forget about this game but it really is quite great. It's no D3, which I will still wait for, but lots of people playing it say it's more fun than their retail game Hellgate: London, which really says something. It's like CPL closing but now CAL is worth than CPL so Cal might stay.
Feb 21, 2008, 7:42:06PM, Your Desktop?
It's really difficult to honestly pick one. I'd have to go with either
James Bond: Goldeneye (Last level) or Super Mario Bros 3. James Bond: Goldeneye's last mission, you walk into a room and there is a gun in a glass case. You have to go to it. There's certain tiles you can walk on and you have no idea which ones. Every time I stepped on atleast one wrong one, and bang 4 turrets come out and riddle you with holes. Super Mario Bros 3, That was just insane! I can't finish World 8! It's hard enough getting past the tank, let alone the ship.
Feb 10, 2008, 12:14:29PM, Kids and video games
I think if any parent teaches a young kid that violence is to be saved for video games only, then it's not really that bad.

It gets bad when that little kid who plays video games wants to imitate it because he thinks it's fun.

THE CAKE IS A LIE!
Dear Sero,

I am fully interested in your Wii offer. The Wii is a great console. It has games that are fun for the family, and games that aren't fun for the family but a gamer would enjoy. For example, Red steel. It has its issues with sword techniques and such, but a game so relatively early into the Wii's life is quite good. I love the playing style and everything. So far, my enjoyment with the Wii has been superb.

Brawl. That is one of the reasons why I want a Nintendo Wii. Brawl is the successor to Super Smash Bros Melee, the successor to the game that was one of the first games I played. Brawl looks to be an amazing game. I am so excited for it. I could list so many reasons why I want this game. Although slightly dissappointed that Geno isn't in the game, it has a great lineup of characters, the music is superb, the fact that it is online and has a level builder will allow for endless content. I will never be bored with a Brawl and a Wii and that is why I want Brawl, because I can be endlessly content with it.

Future games. Wii is early into it's life, coming out in... November I believe? It is an excellent console, and I am amazed at how much it has progressed already. From being called a pitiful family console, to becoming a console with some decent games. I believe that the Wii will "age with grace" to become an amazing console, like the 360, and appeal to all groups of people. Whether you are an adult, teen, younng child, or even a senior, the Wii can appeal to you. The future game market will be an interesting to watch, and 2008 will definitely be a year for gaming, just like 2007.

To cut it short, I must say that I definitely want a Wii and Brawl. The Wii is a console that I extremely recommend to anyone, and that I wish to get myself. TBH I would sell my guitar for a Wii, and I love my guitar. I fondle it... Uh... too much info I guess. Anyways, To keep you from having to read anymore, this is why I want a Wii. A Wii is what I want, and to have that would make me content.

TLDR; I want a Wii and Brawl really badly. I will be extremely content if I ever get a Wii and Brawl. Thank you for reading.

That is why I should win. GG NO RE.

Also, on another mention.
I'm only 14 but I worked my way up from the Sega Genesis to SNES, and then I got an N64. I was lucky to get a gamecube maybe two or three years after it came out. My gamecube is still my most recent console. I got my PC about a year ago.
I still think Super Mario RPG is a great game, and will willingly pull out my SNES to play it.

Is this happening to everyone or just me? :/
Feb 3, 2008, 8:19:47PM, Shoutbox, not showing up
Text won't show up at all. Not in the popbox, not in the www.pwned.com/shoutbox
or even the mini shoutbox on the right side of the main site.

I just see the little spot to type, the enter button, and the refresh/launch popbox.
It's like nobody is talking at all.
I only agree with Duffman because I haven't played A Link to the Past.
Super Smash Bros Brawl has officially been released in Japan.

The English (USA) site is located at

Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we’ve had to change the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9th.

I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long and ask that you hold on just a little longer. Thank you for your patience.
