If certain people would let something like music stop them from browsing profiles......*shrugs shoulders*.
Especially with how close the survey is...it looks pretty much like a stalemate to me; in which case you leave it the way it is. Regardless of the decision of the mods though it will remain a personal preference, and some people will be happy and some won't.

It's not really the music that bothers me, though it is fairly annoying having random songs start playing when I'm currently listening to my own music in iTunes or whatever.. No, the reason I'm against it is because all the players and whatnot that people add on to their profile slows down the loading of the page a whole lot, creating a bit of lag. Turning off just the autoplaying bit of the player would remedy the lag somewhat. I'm not asking people to get rid of their music all together, that's not the purpose of the poll either, as far as I can tell, I'd just prefer it if the players would be quiet until I choose to press play on them.

Yea music is awesome. I've actually found some cool bands on peoples pages that ive never heard of. I don't know i kinda feel if people want their music playing let them have it...i mean it is THEIR page...not the people visiting it. If a person has a problem with their music...dont visit it I guess. Not to come off as an ass, but I think thats a reasonable way to look at it.

So you don't want people to surf profiles to find new interesting people to add? Doesn't that completely defeat the point of a social networking site?

Isn't it possible to let people keep their flash players, but just disable the autoplay function on them? That way visitors to the profile can choose to press play and have a listen if they want to.
