I have a ps3 but i play the 360 a lot more. The 360 has a better online service. I like the Home part of the ps3 though. Even though i don't play that much either.

No, dont get a fan. I heard that it overheats it more because the fan gets to hot. Leave the 360 on the side. It can fall and scratch disks if it was standing vertically.

One more thing. Buy a hard drive and get xbox live.
