Hey there I'm Samo.

I'm a mad gamer although I'm slowly starting to forsake my PC roots for the modern age of the console. Actually scratch that, my PC is 4 years old and I have all the new consoles so I'd say I've properly forsaken the old box. I'm a console agnostic but I am enjoying the 360 and hating the PS3 at the moment, yeah that'll change when GT5 prologue gets released and there's actually a game worth buying for the thing. How's that, I have a PS3 yet I still don't have a game for it. Madness.

Looks like fun this, a myspaceish thing for gamers - yes i am the champion of stating the obvious. I usually enjoy stating the obvious at AustralianGamer.com. It's great to see a site established that caters to the social side of gaming. We've been organising gamers meets accros oz to get gamers together for a little while now, we've had a couple in Brisbane, one in Sydney and recently had a big one in Melbourne. Gamers are not all pasty white nerds who sit locked in a room all day!

Enough essay writing! Hope to get to know a few of you and maybe even meet you at a meet or con one day.

Some of the early areas of Bioshock were pretty freaky, but then ya get too powerful and it all goes to shit. Doom 3 is pretty scary when played alone in a dark room...

Apparrently there's a stand off between Nintendo and Microsoft/Rare over licensing and rights. As a result it's unlikely to happen. Same goes for Banjo Kazooie :(
