Hai Guys.

I've been playing Warhammer online for the last month or so now, and I was wondering how many of you guys are playing it.

You should jump onto the server we're on :D
We could do with an Archmage..we also plan to setup a guild so we need some more members :D

I know you guys probably aren't interested in my opinion as I much prefer the 360 to the ps3, but here is my attempt to be as unbiased as possible.

First of all, this whole ps3 being an entertainment system is kind of pointless. Using the points that "I can use it to access the internet, I can plug my keyboard and mouse in, watch movies and listen to music" is totally redundant. If this is what you want to do, don't buy a ps3, invest in a PC. It'll be able to do MUCH more! Second of all, the 360 is able to become part of a Windows Media Centre network (afaik the ps3 can't). This enables you to stream anything to and from it from anywhere on the network, and if you know what you're doing, you can do it from ANYTHING else, including a PSP or even a pda.

As for the blu-ray, I see it to be kind of pointless. I've seen both a blu-ray dvd and a hd dvd, and to me..the different is impossible to spot, I can see no difference really. Secondly the discs can hold more. This means that the games will be bigger but they will also take one hell of a time to do and cost one hell of a lot more. The first games to come out for the ps3 didn't utilise the full space which made game loading times slower, thus making the extra space a redundant feature. On top of this you have more powerful processors which ALSO costs more and will add time to the development phase.

My last note would be that you have now lost the exclusive rights to the Tekken franchise. There are also rumours that the FF7 remake is not being remade for the ps3. One of my best friends has a ps3 and last night we had a conversation about this, from his understanding, FF7 was one of (if not the) biggest games for a sony a console, if you lose that remake there isn't much hope left. I do like the ps3 for two reasons. One being Wipeout HD and the other being the fact it's a linux system behind the works which pretty much makes the possibilities limitless.

Before anybody goes off and flames me for this, I am aware I have a 360 and hate the PS3, but I am in no way claiming that the 360 is perfect. I am on my third console as it is. We have more games and better titles (imho), those that come out on both consoles are practically the same making it totally pointless.

Ontop of all this there is a body called Offcom that is attempting to have a universal media format created so that you are able to play any game on any next generation console. Whether or not this will go ahead, or has already been turned down is beyond me..but hopefully if this was to go ahead, we'd be able to end this.

All I want is for ps3 owners to stop bigging it up for the wrong reasons..as I first stated, it's a gaming console, if you want to access the internet and do all those things, then buy a god damn pc for christ sake!

to be honest.

it's practically the same as RSV1, but I loved that to pieces, so I like it.
I haven't had chance to play the online multiplayer yet, i'll have to slap nitro a bit and get him to come on with me!

and oi nitro, I play it like its a run around blasting everyone in site game!!

To be fair! Those of you that like COD4 and the new bits that you've seen appear should like RSV 1 & 2. As to be honest, the COD4 character system, to me, is like a lobotomised, castrated and circumcised version of the RSV character system.
