Dude, i can't believe you even made this thread. FFVI was the best FF game ever made, and VII could have only wished to reach a story as good as VI was.

VIII was the biggest piece of emo trash I ever played tho.

That was my first Final Fantasy so I have a special bond to it. But on the other hand: Squall's loner attitude deffinatly does not fit in with Selphie, Zell, and Rinoa's spunky attitude. Then you just have Irvine who I want to have a sex change, knock up, then after being 8 months pregnant, punch in the gut as hard as I can. Quistis...she doesn't even have a personality. Ultimecia was the worst villain ever and the only thing that kept that game fun was Triple Triad.

Tidus was a whiny little bitch I would like to knock out too...

You want tradition yet it seems the only game you have played is VII. You didn't get far in VIII because the junction system. You didn't get far in XI because it didn't give you a set story line...? You didn't get far in XII because of the battle system. Have you finished any of these games or did you not even scratch the surface because of these few flaws as you percieved them?

The junction system wasn't complicated at all. It wasn't horrible. It was overpowering if you did it right, which can be a plus or minus depending on the person's playing preference. As for story lines:

Tactics was amazing, I hated the long battles but I couldn't put it down because of the story. And that applies to the other couple million who made it a best seller. It reminded me of Macbeth somewhat. Macbeth is one of the greatest works of literature ever created and there are so many people that can agree on that.

XII got superb ratings from everyone. Even FF haters. You find me a game that rivals that story line (besides VII). I dare you.

IX was one of the greatest games ever created. It pitted you in a story that was both humerous, sad, joyful, and you can feel the connection to each and every character. The character development in that game was one of the bests I've ever seen.

You go ahead and look up the reviews on other games and you tell me that their story lines sucked.

Uhh...not according to the sales it made. Asshole VII fanboys. There are over 5 greatest hits in the series, to say that VII is the only reason to play the series is horribly mistaken.

That is completely false. Square was in the gutter and decided to try one more project to save them from becoming bankrupt. It was their 'Final Fantasy' hense the name. And you know what? It worked and now they are one of the most succesfull gaming companies in the world. Sure VII was a great game but without the original they wouldn't be here right now.

I'm overly happy that this game is what it is. I was dying for a new RPG, and just so happens that part of the FF team, including the man Sackaguchi, created one! Everyone is like, oh it seems like we have played this game over and over again. But some people don't mind that! I love the classic play style of it, and it's story line. It is deffiantly a buy!

Yea, I tried it. Its weak Dynasty Warriors battle system turned me off. I'm sure it got better as the story progressed, I just can't stand those types of games.

God beating it on vet was such a bitch. You wait till that bonus mission on veteran. That 1 min level took me a solid 3 hours to beat. Then I went back and got all the intel on easy haha.
