Model yourselves after my success? thats the problem you don't model yourself off other people fatal1ty your glorified e-hero didn't have someone he based himself off or compared himself to he was his own player. You speak of the difference between professional players and others is that they constantly seek ways to improve but you don't improve from reading what other people write or playing stupid flash games they may be entertaining but they dont make you a better player, being good at games is less physical ability and more mental its out-thinking and anticipating what they are gonna do.
Fatal1ty may make more money but as for expanding and bettering gaming he does nothing of the sourt and if you weren't so sucked into the hype of him you might see that, if you ever saw him at lans he smacks talks and puts down other players, is this bettering the gaming community?
Your GFM doesn't make them more competitive its makes them waste time learning techniques and excersizes from a no-body who hasn't even competed.

wtf does that even mean I didn't take any manual and I didn't learn from anyone how to play competitively and I have lanned and I did make money and had fun doing it. How in the hell do you get injured playing video games? if you injure yourself sitting in your computer chair you need a damn helmet. Maximizing game time comes from proper sleep and how comfortable your setup is to you. You didn't offend anyone you just are lying to a whole community which is fine with me, if you really wanna improve peoples game skills talk to real pros and get them to offer lessons to groups of your member something productive. Until then all you kids trying to get into a competitive scene, 3 things, 1. Go get mirc ring and scrim whatever game your trying to get better at 2. Watch pros play and get a handle of basic strategy and mold it to your own play style and finally practice with people of a higher caliber until your better them and then move to the next tier.

Things you should have for 1.6
http://www.cevo.com/FILES/CEVO-CS-1.6-GUI-v3.0.zip <-- CEVO GUI, Changes the yellow text in game into a easily visible blue, auto sizes the scoreboard so it doesn't take the whole screen up, and turns the main menu background into a clean cevo background.

Don't install the CEVO GUI if you are currently or planning on competeing in CAL for 1.6, they don't allow the GUI.

Below is the basics of the config I use its a slightly edited version of ksharps config. Copy this information into your .cfg file found in...
C:Program FilesSteamsteamappsyouremailcounter-strike sourcecstrikecfg folder . The cevo gui above also comes with a cfg that is good too but is for for fps which shouldn't be that big of a problem most peoples computers can run this game at 100+ fps anyways. After updating your config right click on the file and click the box "read only" this will make it so that pubs don't reset your rates.

This is a low sen config please change your sensitivity to your preferred sensitivity. If your used to a low I would also recommend picking a xl mousepad you can go with steel series (my preferred) you can also go to your local bestbuy or officemax or whatever and they sell a cheap version that doesn't have quite the same surface but will be alot better than a normal sized mousepad for you.
another thing if your a low sensitivity person picking up cpl mousefix will be great and also tuning your windows sensitivity can help your shots get alot smoother.

Have you tried uninstalled your cracked version and just running 2142? I think its punkbuster scanning your programming folder and finding those cracked files and shutting you down. If its not that then I would check firewalls or other possibly another program you are running in the background that it could be seeing as a cheat.

go with the 9600 it ups fps, and has less heating issues which means you can overlock if you wish you seem savvy enough to know how to do that.

When I played cs:s competitively I played 60-80 hours a week and ordered fast food or had my brother make me and bring me food. Every aspect of my computer was cs themed even have cs fan grills custom made and put in my computer.I had a permanent table/monitor setup at friends houses for lans and spent more money a month on internet and travel costs for lans than I spent on food. My friends and gf at the time planned an intervention but never went thru haha addiction to the max :)
