Only a matter of time...

.....When kids used to be kids and run in circles, up and down stairs, makes noises, and/or twirl around in a circle people use to laugh; now we give them Ridalin. When people used to have issues getting out of bed because they haven't seen their feet in years because of their stomachs we use to call them fat; now it's labeled a disease. When we had ups and downs they were just that, ups and downs; now over 170 million Anti-Depressant prescriptions are being filled annually in the U.S. alone.

.....It's only a matter of time before being able to do what we love because of who you are is labeled a disease, addiction, deficiency of well-being. Then soon after that I'm sure we will all be recommended a drug of some sort to stifle such a characteristic. It's very important, I believe, not to be controlled by something, but not have to give up what you love. Yet, then again be able to realize when that line of problem vs. enjoyment has been crossed. It seems that people lack moderation these days, whether it be eating, smoking, drinking, even working; and as much as I hate to admit it, gaming.

....."Do what you love." Is the most important part of all this, take that passion that is The Game, as well as that enjoyment you get out of it and rather then have it be what you can do When you can, make it what you Do and who you are. Then for the rest who just want to enjoy themselves, do just that. Just don't forget about the fact that moderation will keep that enjoyment at its peak.

@MachineGunJesus

.....your elaboration on your egocentric cynicism is noted. There's a few things I noted from reading your replies: 1.) You have problems absorbing new ways of learning. 2.) You think the only way to help someone out is your own. ...and finally, 3.) You suffer from a clear cut case of ignorance.

.....Let me continue before you start twisting in your chair and hurt yourself. According to you the one that that is labeled Fatal1ty is, quote: "fatal1ty (the uber douche of gaming)". Assuming this means you believe him arrogant, perhaps a pompous bastard, or even a false sense of being higher up on the totem pole (hence the rest of your texts describing his attitude); we'll also take into account that your first post was just as you described he was and which you have become. Which would be rather, 'douche,' like for the lack of a better word. I won't defend the guy, I've never met him and that's not the point. The point is that your words described you, rather then your decree of him, to a T, simply put. As well, your accusations and defamation that you spread on the walls of chaos GFM's attempts to better and help a community in ways never even thought before are sickening.

.....Now, an opinion is never forbidden, but the way things are said are not to be taken lightly, my friend. This being said, your tips in your latter post are well and good, but there are other things that it takes then just sitting and playing the game that have to be taken into account. How can you keep that sort of concentration? How can you keep that extreme unmoving focus and determination? How can you keep that edge on the competition? How do you have/get the quickest response time? How can you Master these skills to be the best that you can be at your passion?

.....These are all questions that the GFM address' and you have to look at it as a tool. You wouldn't try to put together a well running engine without a wrench, or set to sea without a boat would you? The simple meaning of a, "Game Master," from what I understand, is not a matter of being good at everything, it's a matter of dedicating your life to what you love then taking everything you can learn from it and administrating it to your everyday life.
